Progress on Texas Men
Almost there! I could probably finish the draft of novella #1 today. That’s my goal anyway. Tomorrow, I head to Texas to pick up the four-year-old from her dad, and Monday I have to begin work on a novella for the next Kensington “Cowboy” anth.
Deadlines didn’t stop from me from spending yesterday working on a concept for another story I hope to sell to Kensington. It’s lots more fun dreaming up new, shinier projects than plodding through the pages. Plus, I’ve made good progress and am still on schedule with everything else, so why not?
Thanks to all the ladies on my loop for helping me run through titles for the new project. And thanks to Renee’ and Heather for reading through my current WIP to make sure it was tight.
On a side note since I was talking about pools at Access Romance yesterday, I fished a frog out of the water this morning—twice! The stubborn thing hopped right back in after I rescued it the first time!

I hope you have a nice drive to pick up the little one. Does she live there or is she visiting?

She lives with her mom in Hot Springs, but mom’s got a camping trip with hubby this weekend, so I volunteered. I miss her enough I really don’t mind! She’s the red-headed hellion’s own hellion, but that only means she’ll grow up strong!

Have a good trip to Texas, D!! Speaking of pools. I haven’t written a thing in a week. But I have been lounging at the pool, and dreaming up new ideas! The break and the hot sunshine have been nice and has allowed me to refill the well. Summers are so short here we have to take advantage of all the nice weather.
