4 Days–Summertime Contest Countdown!
Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Tomorrow, I’ll name another lucky winner, so be sure to post!

If you’re on my chatter loop or Facebook, you know about my snake encounter yesterday. Today, when I head to the pool I’m carrying a shovel! My dad thinks it was a cottonmouth snake. Since it didn’t open its mouth, I don’t have a clue. The only think I know is it had that sharp, triangular-shaped head. Very distinctive. It’s not a pretty snake, but he’s been hanging out in our garden. We found his shed skin on a large flagstone next to the house. I’m worried about the Yorkies. They’re both so ditzy they’ll want to play with it.

Since I have a captive audience for the next four days, I’m going to remind you about my new releases. First up is Lockdown.

5 Stars from Manic Readers
“…LOCKDOWN was pure perfection…As good as the sex is I found myself totally immersed in the evil shadowing the three characters. I was downright riveted to my pages…Suspense, danger, mouthwatering sex scenes and a demon should be enough to make you pick up LOCKDOWN. I will recommend this book to everyone I know, it’s just that good!”

4.5 Stars and an orgasmic “O” from Just Erotic Romance Reviews
“…Delilah Devlin always delivers stories with real characters. LOCKDOWN is terrific at building suspense and creating tension; as a reader you can’t wait to see what will happen next…”

From Reader Views
“…LOCKDOWN by Delilah Devlin offers a uniquely different erotic tale. The sensual scenes are very well written and a pleasure to read. The plot is very complex for a novella, yet the author carries it well. I really enjoyed this story and hope that there will be more to follow along this line.”

We’ve had to kill a few copperheads where I live and every now and then you run across a rattlesnake. Have a great day. Hopefully you won’t see any more snakes for a while.

Snakes are the worst. EWWW!!! Hope everyone reads Lockdown. I loved it and didn’t want it to end. I like the shorties but some you just wish could go 3 or 4 hundred pages. Have a great holiday weekend. 😀

I hate snakes!!!! I am jealous about the pool though. We used to have a pool at my grandmother’s (she used to live across the street from us) and we had several snakes in the filter.

I am getting ready to read Sin’s gift this evening. I finally finished LKH’s Skin Trade last night.

    Very nice reviews.

I don’t care what kind of snake you encountered, I would’ve freaked out anyway. Last year when I was running th 5K of the triathlon my brother sets up every year, I almost bit it because a snake (mostly likely a harmless gardner snake) slithered across the path and I jumped and stumbled. I was lucky I didn’t go down all the way. I would’ve been so embarrassed having to explain why I was all scraped up.

Although I’m not scared of snakes, I’m sort of glad we don’t have big ones like that up here…I don’t think I’d want to come face to face with that sucker anytime soon! :ohh:

I’ve never been afraid of snakes, in fact I am the one the family calls to remove them from the yard. That one could easily change my mind! 😮

    Congratulations on the great reviews!

Great reviews! Me and my nephew had went walking and he got tired and sat down for a bit, when he got up, I noticed what I thought was a lizzard. It wasn’t a lizzard, it was a baby snake. It shocked me. It slithered over the part of the road where my nephew had been sitting. Scared me to death.

That snake picture is cruel. I have a major snake phobia and got the shudders when I pulled up the blog. I will probably have nightmares…and that’s no joke!

I can’t even imagine actually seeing a live one. I would probably have to move.

Girl, watch where you put your feet, take the shovel for sure and check the skimmer before you get in the pool. Those snakes are bad news.
