Progress on Unbroken
First, thanks to everyone who has purchased Stone’s Embrace! This “starving artist” is very grateful and dying to know what you thought and whether you’d like to see more stories set in that realm!
My sister is visiting through Sunday morning, so I’ve been a ghost online. Today, we headed to Little Rock to watch the latest Harry Potter. I know it’s getting great reviews, but maybe I wasn’t in the mood. I got a little bored waiting for something wicked to happen and was very annoyed with all the “snogging” going on. Maybe it’s just me. My sister loved it, but then again, she loves the stories. I haven’t read even one of the books yet—yeah, I know I’m one of the few people on the planet who hasn’t.
Did see a trailer for a movie I’m dying to see—Sherlock Holmes, coming Christmas. Robert Downey, Jr. has the starring role; Jude Law is Mr. Watson. And it looks AWESOME.
Since Sis will be underfoot for a while, I doubt I’ll have a chance to post for a couple of days. I’ll leave you with a question I’m curious to see how you’ll answer!
If you were given the opportunity to be an apprentice to any person, living or deceased, from whom would you want to learn?
My choice would be Anne Rice before she found God. 😈

Well I got the MIL off to the airport this morning so its back to semi-normal around here. I’m hoping to get the all of the Captive Souls in the next few days.
I have no idea who I would apprentice for. I don’t even know where I would start since I still haven’t decided what I want to be when I grow up yet. 😉

Brandy! LOL! You have plenty of time. I didn’t figure out what I wanted to be until I hit 40.

wow that definitely gives you something to think about! I think I will pick two.
First deceased: Mary Cassatt. She was a rebel in her time. A woman painter who embraced the artistic culture and played a pivotal part in brining impressionist art to America, but I also love that she painted such moving and poignant images of the life that she lived.
Second living: Lora Leigh. I am in total awe of this writer. She seems to know exactly what her readers crave (me included), and she only seems to be getting better. Not to mention the amount of work that she publishes each year. I love her work and love the fact she has so many releases each year, but hope she doesn’t burn herself out. That would be more devastating then fewer books each year!

Oh Delilah, you’re not the only one. I haven’t read or watched Harry Potter either and don’t really care to.
And as for apprenticing, since I’m a foodie, I’d pick Julia Child. She’d have great food stories and her years as a spy would also be exciting to hear about.
And yes, Sherlock Holmes does look great!

I’m going to see Harry Potter tomorrow (sunday) but my mom and brother and SIL went tonight. They also thought it was a little and kept waiting for something to happen. I’ve read all the books but the last 2 and am now reading the 6th one but haven’t gotten very far yet.
Booklover, I agree Lora Leigh is fantastic. I adore her writing and all of her books are keepers, it doesn’t matter what series. I’m so stoked about Jonas’s book and can’t wait for Cassie’s book (breeds).
Jody, have you seen the new movie with Amy Adams coming out that is called Julie and Julia? It’s kinda about Julia Childs.

Booklover! Thoughtful choices.
Jody and Heather B! I’ve seen the trailers for “Julia & Julia” with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams too. It’s one of the few “chick flicks” I’m drawn to of late.

Heather B I’m definitely seeing that movie when it comes out. Read about it a few months back and put it on my list. It looks really good!
