Blueberry Blast

The royalty fairy landed, delivering a nice little surprise, and to celebrate I decided to treat myself to one of my passions. I love myth and history books, dragons, jewelry and paintings. Paintings done by my mother or my friends mean the most. A friend did this for me because I was looking for something blue. Don’t you just love the water droplets on the berries? Wonder if she knows I plan to hang it in my bathroom.

    Subject matter doesn’t matter all that much to me (unless it’s sunflowers, I LOVE sunflowers), but I do love color. Most of what I have in my living area are deep yellows, oranges and reds—wine and fruit, tigers, sunflowers. Sounds like a hodgepodge, but sticking to the colors seems to pull them together.

    Its a very nice painting, My dad was into water color paintings and I still have a collection of his work at home. Loved his stuff. Enjoy it for many years to come.

    Rasha! Thanks!! And what a wonderful thing to have from your father. It’s why I love to collect from those close to me. And I do pay them for their work (except mom, but she gives them to me in place of other gifts for special occasions)!!

    That is really pretty. Certain paintings or pictures catch my eye. I love things that others have made.

    Incredible detail! Very talented friend. I like bright colors too but as a compromise to my husband the decor around here is neutral. I just indulge my need for vibrant colors with clothes!

    I love paintings too. I have run out of wallspace. My other fetish, lamps. Weird I know, but a beautiful lamp draws me in everytime.

    i love it. the colors are awesome and the water on the blueberries is a nice touch. I think it will make a beautiful bathroom picture.
