I’m bleary-eyed this morning. Went to help dd with algebra homework last night, then had to get critiques prepared to distribute to the Rose’s Colored Glasses critiquers. Didn’t hit the pillow until 2:30 AM. Grrrr…need coffeeez. Sound zombie-ish enough?
If your life were literally flashing before your eyes, what are three moments or scenes from your past that you would expect to stand out?
My answers will be in the comments.

When my life rushes by, I expect to see:
1) A glimpse of the 6-year-old running to greet me with her arms spread wide
2) My daughter and I sitting on her porch enjoying a laugh
3) Me, posing in front of the Eiffel Tower wearing a Panama hat (it was the 80’s)

Oh, on the beach at the Isle of Wight.
Getting my first prize in school for coming top of the class in Math.

It took me a long time to come up with something, I don’t lead a very exciting or eventful life. I would want to see the “puppy” moments my three dogs have given me. The view of a humpback whale I saw when in Hawaii. My nephews and niece as they were growing up.

Valerie! Nice! Although, I could do with never thinking again about the “joy” of birth. 🙄
Lisa! Bet you do so and you don’t even know it! Seeing a humpback whale in Hawaii sounds pretty exciting to me!

Oh wow, I also do not have a very exciting or eventful life but the 3 things I would want to flash the most would be…..
1) The look of Love,Appreciation and Reprieve my Dad had on his face when he got to see me at the Hospital when we were well enough to travel to each others rooms after our surgeries when I gave him a kidney this January. I have never seen him look at me like that before.
2) The Minutes after the births of any of my children.
3) The love and look of happiness on my husbands face when he finally was able to get me that bigger “diamond” we couldn’t afford in the beginning!

My wedding day and seeing my then fiance and family and friends.
The births of my children.
Sitting next to my daughter when she was hospitalized for 3 weeks and just holding her hand and praying.

The birth of my children
My daughter’s wedding
And the thing that stands out the most is the birth of my granddaughter – absolutely the best thing.

With me, the quote from Chicken Run comes to mind:
[Babs has fainted from a near-death experience]
Babs: All me life flashed before me eyes.
[disappointed]
Babs: It was really borin’.
That is all that came to my mind this morning.
