Why my vampires are never bats…
Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

Yeah, disturbing, huh? But wait, if you look long enough you… No, never mind. I don’t know why that picture seemed to call to me today.

I’ve been back in my vamp world the past few days, writing a quickie for Moses Brown from the My Immortal Knight series. No bats there either. The story’s coming very naturally. It’s fun, it’s sexy. I’m hoping to get to scary, but sexy might be all that Moses has. Poor man’s been waiting a long, long time for his Happy Ever After.

Snowmageddon’s supposed to be happening right now. Forecast keeps saying 6-8 inches, and that’s surreal for this part of the state. I’m hoping we keep our power, because being cooped up due to bad roads is bad enough. Being cooped up without Internet or TV—with two little ones—well, just shoot me now.

6 – 8 inches doesn’t sound like mush snow around here, but I live in Minnesota where the weather is trying to kill us. At least we are used to it and have the equipment to deal with snow (I’ll be thinking about you). Our high today is supposed to be 4 above, but factor in the wind chill and it is -20. ICK.

I hope you survive the weather with your sanity.

Ew! Poor baby. We’re wimps. I’ll admit it. It’s not supposed to snow here! Or at least not still long.

    Hmmmmm…
If you consider size relative to body mass, that’s one hung little stud (pun intended).
Personally, I always thought the image of the rabid bug-eating little beast fit Renfield better than Dracula.

Cute picture. I look forward to winter for 3/4 of the year. The reality is always colder then I remember, except for last year when winter was considerably mild.

Snow already started falling down here; another 4 inches and I’m really tired of shoveling the stuff now. When will spring get here?

We ended up with around 5″ yesterday. Temps will only hit 30 degrees today, so all that pretty crunchy snow will stick around another day. Thankfully, it will be gone by the weekend. Memphis, here I come!
