Today’s winner is named at the bottom of this post, but first, you have to see what I’m offering this week. You know I look far and wide to bring you fun things to compete for. Well, this time I’ve outdone myself!
Yeah, I’m hyping this up because what I found is the ugliest ring I’ve ever seen. This is one you’ll save for special occasions. Like Halloween. Or to give away to your least favorite relative. So, maybe I’m exaggerating just a little bit. The pictures don’t do it justice. I couldn’t get my little Canon to focus, so I’ll have to describe it to you.
The ring is a size 8, sterling silver, with a 21+-carat fire garnet, and several smaller garnets in the horns of the caribou/raindeer decorating the sides. I’m almost glad the pictures are too blurry for you to see. Imagine the winner’s suprise when she receives this gem!
What do you have to do to win the ring?
Post comments on my blog or my Facebook page. Every comment you make over the next two weeks will count as one entry.
The contest ends August 15th!
The winner of the Skull-Stealing Fairy is…SK Whiteside! SK—send me an email with your snail mail address!
If you’re bummed you didn’t win, you can contact Christi at Christi’s Gifts & Consignment (870-230-1877) to order your own.

If I win…can I trade it for a signed book?? ;o)

It’s really tempting. My biggest problem is that a size 8 is much too small. With the animals on the sides, I’m not sure that it could be sized up enough to fit me. *sigh*

I so would wear this myself!

Sharon! Thanks for naming the contest! The Fugly Ring Contest
Betty, Betty, Betty… sigh… If you hate the ring, you can always give it to someone who deserves it. 🙂
Virginia! No problems there. The backside of the ring is smooth and reindeer-less, so it can be sized.

I would rock this! Btw, Garnet is my birthstone 😀

Crystal! Does that mean I can expect you to check back in from time to time? Remember, the more times you post, the better the probability that you will win!
Debbi! Yeah, well, maybe…
Heather! There you have it! Now you just have to beat out however many people enter to own it!

If I didn’t like my Mom would! She collects odd antique looking rings that I’d never wear! Of course if she read your work she’d have to be defribulated! (sp) 😈 👿 LOL

I’d have to find someplce very special to go when wearing that ring for the first time!

I actually love the ring. I have a 9 year old daughter who would L-O-V-E it! The bigger, gaudier and eye catching the better! I must log in everyday to comment. I haven’t used Facebook in ages but I may have to try to comment daily! Can it be used with a Steampunk style costume? Or is it too ugly for that?
Comment
Sounds like a cool ring. Knowing myself I would wear it only if I could find an empty finger to wear it on.
Congrats SK!

I agree pretty fugly! 😈

Wonderful looking stone – not sure I could wear a ring with Caribou on it though 😀

You could really do some damage with a ring like that. I think it would be a fun ring to wear.

Wow! That is a big ring. I love silver and garnets. That’s probably the nicest thing to say. LOL Who knows when it might come in handy. It would be a challenge to find some occasion to wear it. 😀

The ring looks like it would go well with someone who partakes of the spirits in vampires and fantasies. The silver really sets off the garnets making them sparkle with extra bling. Please see me waving my hand high for this contest and red is my color.
