Winners, a New Contest, and a Question!
Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

I have two winners to name, but you’ll have to slog through the “deets” of the new contest!

* * * * *

The Ellora’s Cave Grab Bag Contest

I have a great big bag of stuff to give away to one lucky winner.

What’s in the prize pack?
Things too numerous to mention, but which include:
A signed book by Lila DiPasqua (not an EC author, but since I had a copy of The Princess in His Bed, I thought I’d add it to spice up the pot!)
A sexy mouse pad signed by Liz Andrews
A J.K. Coi and Christine D’Abo water bottle
A multitude of trading cards, bookmarks, excerpt booklets, pens, Post-It pads, etc.

What do you have to do to win?
Post comments on this blog or on my Facebook Fan Page, from now until the contest ends! Each time you post counts as another entry!

Since I’ll be away on a trip to DC, I’m extending this contest through January 17th!

Here’s a question to start today’s conversation:

What’s the difference between innocent flirting and cheating?

* * * * *

So back to those winners…

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in both contests.
The winner of The Fairy Trinket Box Contest is…Linda Womack!
The winner of Cynthia D’Alba’s free download of Texas Two-Step is…Vicki Batman!
Congratulations, ladies! Thanks for playing. Be sure to send me an email
to arrange delivery of your prizes.

    First, congrats to the winners.

Okay, my opinion, flirting is done without intent for more. It’s a totally different animal from cheating, which is all about the intent.

That’s a tough question. The same actions could be either. I have to agree with Lisa and use the intent as the deciding factor.

    Congrats to the winners!

Sounds like a lot of goodies in the Ellora’s Cave Grab Bag. Thanks for the fantastic giveaway. That’s a hard question to answer. Everyone views flirting in different ways. To me flirting is harmless and doesn’t go anywhere, but cheating is going all of the way with someone.

Hope you have a good trip to DC.

Have fun on your trip. Flirting to me has always been the banter and innuendo exchanged between people who find each other attractive. It’s fun, playful and sexy. And it stays where it started. When thoughts begin going further than the witty repartee, that line into cheating is about to be crossed.

I think it’s all about intention. Flirting isn’t backed by any intention to cheat, but it could still lead to cheating because you know what they say about good intentions… 😳

I think flirting is innocent if it happens once with the other person. If it is a regular thing that happens with a particular person then I would call it cheating. Thanks so much for the lovely giveaway!

Flirting is fun and with little intent. Cheating involves full intent and full knowledge of the act.

I would think the difference would be flirting would not have any intentions beyond flirting. Cheating can start with flirting but would have the intentions of doing more, either physically or emotionally.

Flirting is an innocent way to interact with the opposite sex, a casual escape that doesn’t go home with you. Cheating not only goes home with you it takes out the wrecking ball and destroys it

First, have fun in DC even though it is super cold right now!

Innocent flirting happens when it’s all in fun or you don’t even realize that you’re flirting. Cheating is when you’re trying to get a reaction and you’re after something. That’s not real clear but hopefully you get the idea.

congratulations to the winners and thank you for the new contest to Delilah. you always have such great things for us. 🙂

i think the difference is flirting has no intention of going beyond what it is at that moment. cheating has a deliberateness to it that says to the other person i am ready and willing to do whatever you are up for. it also rarely stops with flirting but continues on to other activities.

i hope that makes sense. 🙂

    Congrats to the winners.
Innocent flirting is knowing that is all there will be. Just words spoken and no action taken.
Cheating is knowing and going further than just flirting.
I have been told that I am a major flirt. I didnt really pay attention to it until someone pointed it out to me. But I knew it was not going to go any further than words.

Flirting is not serious. It goes nowhere. Cheating is taking it too far.

Flirting is playful. Cheating is way below the belt and doesn’t use your head.

Innocent flirting is usually done right out in the open with other people witnessing the actions of both parties. Cheating is done mostly without witnesses and usually involves some sort of touching… it becomes very personal.
