Down and Dirty to Squeaky Clean
Life…it’s the opposite of neat. I mean from day one you need a bath. So, why not revel in the smut of life and I’m not just talking about reading deliciously naughty books.
My dad always said, “It’ll wash.” And he was always right. The fish guts, grass stains, mud, and muck all faded away with a good ole scrub. These days I love to get down and dirty (in a PG, I’m sharing with the world sort of way) cinching a saddle on an equine and riding for hours or an I’m sweating so much I can hardly feel my legs workout.
One of the best parts about getting dirty is getting clean. Pre-children I had all the time in the world for a nice scalding-hot soak. Now it’s all about the quick wash, but I haven’t scrimped on one thing. My soap is magical. It transports me to the most foot-loose and fancy-free time in my life…my honeymoon.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Verbena Soap rocks my socks clean off!! So much so that I actually wrote it into my first novel, Enemy Mine.
AND I’m giving one 12oz bar worth it’s weight in diamonds away on this blog!! Comment below and tell me, what is your favorite PG…PG-13 way to get dirty?

I have two PG ways to get dirty. 1. Playing with children, painting faces. 2. Being a clown with all that makeup. In the summer between makeup and wig, oh the heat. But I love this job. Thanks for the giveaway. Love your reads.

PG? It would have to be playing with my Golden Retriever. He’s two, so just about to come out of the really annoying puppy stage, but he’s still so freakin’ hilarious when he plays! We normally run through the house playing “chase”, especially when it’s yucky or too cold out, and he likes to do things like pick up my carpet runners & run around with them while we “chase” him. (Did I mention he’s still in that annoying, mouthy retriever puppy-ish stage???)
PG-13? Oh, that’d have to be a DD book & getting sweaty with BOB.
Anyway, glad to “meet” you, Megan! This post did its job because it’s brought you to the attention of a new reader – ME! I **LOVE** romantic suspense so I’ve just put your books on my GR TBR 🙂 !!

My mother claimed that a sandwich wasn’t good unless it was dripping off the elbow and chin. So true. There is nothing like a juicy, fully loaded, hamburger that requires a stack of napkins, one for every bite. Hmmmm. In spite of all the napkins, the need for a shower lingers.

Oh my gosh, Pat. You’re a clown! How cool is that!! As long as you don’t star in a Stephen King book, you are A #1 awesome in my mine!! Thanks for sharing!

Michelle, I have a Labrador so I know all about the mouthy stage. Old man Lincoln has slowed down over the last few years. So, as annoying as it is, enjoy! It doesn’t last forever. But yes, there is nothing funnier when their feet seem too big for their body and they clomp about like fools.
Happy to “meet” you too. P.S. I think you won the Enemy Mine digital contest I ran on Twitter.

Hi Megan
Piddling as I call it, in my yard. I enjoy planting a small plant, watching it grow and bloom.
I love the covers of your books…smokin!
Thank you for your time.

Awesome books Megan,
My favorite ways of getting dirty (PG/PG13) are gardening/landscaping my back yard & metal detecting (field hunting & competition).

Hi Ginger,
I could get sweaty just staring at the covers. But I do love some yard work. I’d rather mow than do any in-house chore! Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Mina,
You sound like a busy lady. I like it! Idle hands and all that. 😉
