Seems like summer took forever to get here! Storms, cold fronts, more storms… Usually, I’m chomping at the bit mid-April to dip my toes in the pool. This year, it was May 30th—and just 78 degrees. I could only take 20 minutes before I broke out in hives (cold urticaria). But last night—87 degrees! I swam (er, bobbed) around the pool on a noodle and just let the water take all my aches and worries away.
Not everyone has the luxury of a pool in the yard. So my questions to you are…
Do you swim in a pool, lake, sea? Do you swim at all?
Or is there another summer pastime you enjoy?
And while you’re here, take a look at the cover to Book 2 of the Night Fall series. I hope to have it ready for you to download next week!

between the cooler temps and the fact that it has rained every night and most days for the last 18 days, they just opened the public pools this week.it supposed to be in the high 80’s low 90’s this week so people were excited for the coming weekend to go swimming, though now lol the weather center says that on fri, sat, and sun we will have severe thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, the midwest can be so interesting lol,Im not sure if they will reclose the pools for the weekend or leave them open, but people are really pale this year considering its June 9th lol 😆

WOW….All three but I really like the pool and sea best. I learned to swim in the Atlantic Ocean. Where you can’t tolerate the cold I love the cold water. I have even done the Polar Bear swim. I also love swimming in a river especially the Colorado and Gaudalupe in Texas. 🙂

There are two pools in this complex and I enjoy both. The ocean is only a couple of miles from here, but traffic is bad.

Shamefully, I can’t swim, but that doesn’t stop me from playing in pools or hanging out at beaches for all the fun in the sun. Hugs…

Thanks everyone for sharing! I do love the ocean too. Lived in Melbourne, Florida for a year and a half, and went to the beach all the time, even when it was too cold to swim. I’m a water baby.

I love the pool. I only live a couple of miles from the beach but I don’t really like going in the salt water. I do like walking on the beach, though.
Love the cover!
