Today’s post will be short. We’ll find out around noon the extent of the 7-year-old’s cancer. We know for certain it’s returned to her tibia, and she’ll undergo extensive surgery to remove it there. But today, we’ll receive results from the doctor at the children’s hospital from a full-body CT and bone scan so we have the complete picture of her illness.
She does have plenty of people thinking about her. Her Irish cousins have her on the Pope’s prayer list. Her Arkansan grandmother has her on Jimmy Swaggert’s. But more good thoughts, prayers, wishes are welcome.
Real life does provide more drama than fiction.

Oh Delilah, words cannot express the sadness I experienced when reading her cancer was back. Having children with severe, life threatening illnesses is HARD! I know the punch to gut feeling I get every time we have to take our daughter Ashley back to the hospital. Life isn’t fair, is it?
