I’m staring at a very rainy, possibly tornadic weekend. Here in South-Central Arkansas, we’ve already had enough rain that we’re flooding. The highway that leads into town is underwater, and more rain is expected tomorrow. So, I’m getting my Mac laptop charged up—just in case we lose power again. My phone will stay on the charger as well. My dd is already on speed dial, and when things get bad, I know I’m going to have her entire family huddled in my basement office.
Here’s hoping you have a wonderful, sunny weekend. And if you’re wondering what to read, or what to pre-load on your Kindle, I have a few suggestions… 🙂

I love spending rainy days in bed reading. I’ve had a great time seeing Elle this weekend at Coastal Magic. I hope I get to meet you before too long.
Don’t enter me. 😆

I love to curl up and read or watch TV and crochet.

Reading would be the best way, followed by (for me) writing. I’ll get a little of both in here this weekend, since it’s going to be rainy here as well. Now if only I had a fireplace to sit in front of while I’m reading and writing…

Buttons! I my sis gets around! 🙂 I’m more of a homebody. The only conference I’m going to this year is next month’s reader event in Nashville.
Debra! I love to crochet. I usually save it for the winter months, although this past winter I didn’t pick up my hooks once.
Charlotte! Can I come over? Sounds lovely!
Elizabeth! Yeah, I’ll be writing today too, although after so many years, it’s not quite the relaxing activity it used to be! Especially, when I’m writing humor. Sometimes, its really hard being funny.

Hey Delilah. Here in deep East Texas I’m in the same boat you are with the weather situation. We’ve had flooding all week and are expecting thunder storms and/or tornadoes this afternoon.
The only way to spend a day like today is curled up with my kindle reading a good, emotional, spicy book. Looking forward to the next 3 from the Texas Cowboys.
Stay dry, stay safe and try to enjoy your weekend.

I would either be in bed wearing my big fuzzy socks reading or on the dining room table working on my latch hook rug.

Reading, with a big pot of stew or chili or soup on the stove!

I curl up on the couch next to our picture window with a blanket and hot tea and my kindle. I finally got KU to sample for the month, and I have to admit, I love catching up on all your Kindle World stories. They are quick and fun! 😉

When it rains it makes me feel depressed so I don’t feel like doing anything like cleaning house or doing laundry. So I read. We don’t get that much rain so I don’t have to worry that much about rainy days.

Books! Glorious books! Reading them. Organizing them. Shopping for them. Books!

Reading! It’s been rainy all week here in Indiana and I’ve gotten tons of reading in! My cats also enjoy rainy days since they get to snuggle with me while I read!

Reading! I sense a trend 😉
