“Crown every passing day with some good action daily.” ~Martin Tupper
I collect quotes. I have for years. They provide me a daily affirmation. A rule to live by. Or simply inspiration to be a better me. I like this one because it reminds me that good deeds aren’t something you do when you feel like it, or when they are scheduled. As well, they don’t have to be large gestures.
For example, yesterday, I made my mother breakfast. The day before, I babysat the littlest one for my daughter. I don’t note when I do something nice for someone else, because I’m not doing it to receive praise, but because it’s a healthy way to live—good for my psyche. I’m not doing it because I want to earn my way into heaven or to earn points with the Powers That Be. Doing good deeds reminds me I’m part of the world, part of a family, someone needed. And I do know I’m appreciated.
So, my question for you today is what good deed will you do today? Or is there some small thing you did yesterday that you’d like to share? Fitting in good deeds in our busy, everyday lives can be a very easy thing to do!

Yesterday I wrote my brother who is recovering from a spinal injury. I phoned my Mom and we talked for over an hour. My Mom is 90 and lives on our farm with my niece…I miss her laughter, hugs and smiles. I miss my “little bro” despite our childhood rivalry 😉🤓
Today I prayed for our troops and their families. I sent a friend, whose hubby is deployed, a virtual hug. She is holding down the homefront caring for their 4 children and trying to stay very busy.
I counted my blessings, as I do everyday, giving special thanks for another day.
Happy Friday everyone. PLEASE be safe this holiday weekend. Blessings. 💫💞

I help my nephew with his homework everyday, gave my mom’s dog a bath, made banana muffins to share…
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

We allowed our daughter to borrow my car. After babysitting her adorable little guy, we had to drive 45 minutes to bring some keys as she locked them in the car. She did get to show him around her work and everyone fell in love with him. He is a red head.

I took my daughter to the mall to get a Build A Bear. It’s the last weekend of beach season so the traffic was a nightmare and I think they are kind of silly but she had the money saved so we braved the traffic and made it happen. The woman at Build A Bear that waited on us remembered my daughter from our visits (probably because I never let my daughter buy anything if she didn’t plan for the purchase in advance) and she was so excited that my daughter was able to get one of her Pokemon today! And now we start again saving for another one!

The good deed I will do tomorrow is I wash one of customer’s laundry for her. Her apartment doesn’t have washer or dryer. SO I do her laundry every Saturday and then I do her hair. 😀
