I love writing and crafting stories, but I enjoy photography as well. A perfect blend in that, as I’m out walking through the woods, I see an amazing array of nature which inspires my muse.
By late spring, a huge variety of butterflies are fluttering in the air or landing on grass and leaves.
I love trying to capture butterflies in unique poses.
The blend of deep rich colors of the butterflies and nature are amazing to see.
And, at times, I capture a unique photo such as seeing this small bee land on the White Cabbage Butterfly’s wing.
Do you have a favorite type of butterfly?

My favorite butterfly is the Blue Morpho. It’s absolutely stunning if you’re ever lucky enough to see one. They are colored in metallic, shimmering shades of blues and sometimes greens. They are found in Central America.

Hi Diana,
What fantastic photos! I think the Monarch is my favorite because it reminds me of a stained glass window. Thanks for sharing.

I do not have a favorite butterfly. I did once get to see a Luna Moth when I was hiking outside. That was pretty cool and it was beautiful. (Also, the age before the ubiquitous cell phones so nothing with me to take a picture of it.) I primarily see a lot of monarchs where I live.
