First, your brain needs a little warm-up. It probably won’t be a stretch for you to figure out what I consider my “brain juice”, but work for it anyway!

My daughter says I’ve ruined some very common words for her. She’s been my beta reader for many of my short story collections, and I’ve twisted her arm to read my stories a time or two. So, now, she has a list of trigger words that make her throw up a little in her mouth. Her list includes: moist (#1 most hated word), juicy, folds, slit, kernel, pea, wet, and vagina.
So, for a chance to win a $5 Amazon card,
tell me what words make you shudder!
A Reminder
I have two new releases! If you’re read them, I’d love for you post a review. Readers trust other readers’ recommendations! And thank you!

Took me 5:04. And I can’t think of any words that I hate. Maybe the mispronounced “nuke-you-ler”.

This puzzle almost frustrated me. Took me 3:20. Yes, I am an avid puzzler. These are fun though. They challenge my speed.
Read Quincey Down Under last night. 😀
Words that make me shudder – kneeled, sleeped, any word that no longer follows the grammar I was taught in school. It makes me feel so old.

4:43… need a better mouse, did not move to well to get a better time… fun though!
Specific words are not coming to mind, but I hate when a book has a lot of mistakes… drives me crazy and ruins the flow of the story…

It took me 2:51. Words on my list are moist and slurp.

phenomenal
it’s used tooooo often to really have meaning anymore… just like AWESOME before it…
but pretty much any Valley Girl phrase will make me cringe lol

I did terrible! 8:07
I don’t have many words that make me cringe but Elle could probably tell you that member (when referring to a man’s anatomy) is one of them. 🙂
As I’ve recently been listening to a lot of audio books, guffawed is a word that seems to be overused lately. I don’t think I’d notice if I were reading the book but somehow it stands out when I’m listening. I don’t hate it but it seems a bit old fashioned to me.

It’s how a word is said that makes me shudder more than the word itself. Moist for example is fine when I see she was moist under the panties or the cake was moist but if it’s “now let’s see how moist you are” he whispered in her ear. That makes me shudder coz I just hear a creepy old man 🤷♀️ guess I’m just werid.
Not my best time not my worse 2:50

Only one word makes me cringe and that is maggot.

I’m not much help on the words, but I loved this post. 🙂

I don’t play games much so took me 12:25. I still have a hard time with the word cunt. The time I grew up in it was used as an insult so I have a hard time with it in books.

5:32…I’m so not a puzzle person. 🙂
I don’t have any one word. What causes me trouble is having to write the American spelling for words. I’m Canadian and grew up with the British spellings. Even after all these years, some words just look “wrong” to me when I read them.

6:26 for me, but I have a tiny phone lol
Had to scroll to see all the pieces.
I loathe ‘moist’ and ‘yes, Daddy’
Happy Tuesday!

I’m terrible at jigsaw puzzles, LOL. I think that was the first one I ever finished in my life. If it had had more than 42 pieces, I probably wouldn’t have been able to do it at all. Like the others, I cringe at moist, member and a lot of the words used for body parts. However, any word will bother me if overused.

It took me 6 minutes! I’ll admit I have the tv on so I was a smidgen distracted. I love that people hate the word moist. It can be a pretty awful word.
