Have you ever heard a whooshing sound like the ocean in your ear? One where the waves come as often as the ticking of one of those solar-powered bobbly-rocking tchotchkes? I notice these things. I have two bobbly things ticking at different rates on my desk right now—along with a whoosh in my ear. All that noise is a little annoying…
Now, that I’ve described my early morning issue, what’s yours?

Oh, and the cat is snoring under my desk…

I got up to pee at 7 am and couldn’t go back to sleep. Heavy rain moved in about then to so I listened to it for a while before getting up. I fed the dogs then did 33 minutes on my Cubii, the only exercise I can do that doesn’t bother my numb right knee. The sun is now starting to come out and I am drinking tea.
I don’t like things that tick so all clocks are quiet. I do have one that chimes on the hour though.

I went to bed at 1:30am. I usually read a couple of chapters. I ended up finishing the book at 4:30am.
Chloe, my orange tabby decided to whine and kneed on my chest around 6:30am. After several attempts to hush her up, it didn’t work. Suffice it to say, I got up 15 mins later. I will definitely be taking a nap later this afternoon.

I’ve been nursing a sore back and haven’t been online much lately. I hadn’t even opened my email for over 4 days! That’s almost unheard of for me unless I’m on a cruise. 🙂
Ever since I retired my night-owl tendencies have gotten worse but the current lockdown has really made things bad. It’s not unusual for me to be up until 5:00 a.m. Of course, I’m usually still back up by noon and then end up taking a nap. I’m pretty sure I’m getting at least 7 hours of sleep a day, just not all at once. LOL
