I’m headed back to the Little Rock VA for my SECOND COVID SHOT! My dd and I are making a day of it. We’ve already picked out our favorite restaurant to hit—the Taj Mahal—but only if there are seats in the outdoor dining area! We’re also hitting the Indian grocer when we’re done to stock up on so many lovely things (spicy pickle, chutney, naan bread, curry, etc.). We’ll make a big deal out of the trip to get me the vax because that’s what we do. Everything can be an event or an adventure.

we made an adventure out of our shots. We are done with both. We celebrated and then again after 10 days we did as well.

I received both of my shots by February 5th and so the very first time that I’ve been to a store in a year was my adventure. I actually went to a local grocery store and spent about 30 minutes picking out my own vegetables and some fruit. Since then I’ve been to pick out new furniture and just waiting for it to arrive. I still stay mostly in since we have quite a few people who don’t believe in wearing masks.

Not getting them, I wear my masks at work and where required out in public, I would have loved to jump from a plane in my younger days

I love to go to specialty grocery stores. My friend and I meet at various grocery stores and shop “together”. She always ends up at one of the store and I end up at the other but then we compare what we found. Our kids like to come along for the adventure, too. My friend has really helped me out at the Asian markets to discover all sorts of goodies!

Good luck on your shots. My mom’s had the first one. I’m not eligible yet (age requirement). I’d like to think I’m adventurous, but I’m actually pretty boring. LOL
