Just for fun, and because I’m going to be writing like a demoness today, and this is something I have had on my mind lately, here’s a question for you to answer!
If you could add one business/store/restaurant to your home town, what would it be? Answer for a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card!
For me, it would be a movie theater. We’re a town of approximately 11,000 people, with two colleges, and we don’t have one! It’s a travesty! Also, we just plain don’t have a lot to offer in the way of recreation unless it’s parks or the nearby lake. How about a skating rink or bowling alley?

I just opened a jewelry and gift boutique! Have some unique items and food!! My little town loves the different items.

I wish our hometown (which is actually a fairly large city of 300,000) had a true pagan store that held herbs, crystals, books, affordable tarot cards, all-natural products, candles, and other items needed for those interested in wicca or pagan beliefs. It’s so hard to find anything here, and I must either order items online, or go to several different stores and buy things piecemeal (and pay exorbitant prices) from stores not really designed for people seriously interested in such beliefs or practices.

My town has built up so much in the last few years… traffic is starting to be annoying… there are a few restaurants I like that I wish were closer… but what I really want is an ice cream shop like the one I remember back East that had these huge monster shakes… boy do I miss those!

This might be totally off track but I’ve been thinking it would be great if my town had a farming collective that had land for rent, classes, and products. A place where people could share their talents and interests for the betterment of everyone.

I would love a Trader Joe. I have heard they are awesome.

We’d love to have a Steak ‘N Shake closer to us. The nearest one is over 10 miles away and only does carry-out; no way to still have hot food or a cold milkshake unless we eat in the car.

I would like a Bob Evans Restaurant. I have been to a few out of town but near me. Our city is large and has many options for food, entertainment and shopping.

I’d like another Hallmark store. We had all of ours close down in my hometown and I miss them. The best Christmas decorations, best cards, plus a really unique shopping experience.

I’d love a bookstore! Oddly, we have not one, two, or even THREE paint stores within a couple miles (I mean, seriously, how much interior and exterior paint can one community need?!), and admittedly, we do have a fabulous library, but it would be terrific to have a bookstore!

a bookstore-nearest used book store is 30 minutes and the nearest B&N is and hour and half.

A Der Wiener Schnitzel restaurant. I use to love their sauerkraut hot dogs. Hated to see it closed.
