I bought this little brainstorming tool years ago at some writers’ conference. “Story Cubes” is a brainstorming game. You roll the dice and whatever pictures appear face-up are the ones you use to riff off a story.
Now, I’d like you to tell me a story based on what you see on the cubes. Do any of these symbols tell you anything? You can pick some of the images or use all of them.

As I was sleeping, I had the strangest dream that I was searching the world for clues to some odd treasure… made no sense to me! 😉

Putting her eye to the keyhole, she saw a fountain with bees buzzing. Someone had just been there as there were wet footprints

They walked on the beach together, barefooted in the sand. The palm trees swayed in the breeze and they spent time searching for treasures. Then a bee swooped in and stung them both so their peaceful time together came to an end. One of them was stung on their left foot so a cane came in handy for a while.

I spy with my little eye, through the keyhole, a world of strange delights. There’s a bee dancing with a cane on the edge of a fountain but that’s not the strangest part. He has the biggest feet I’ve ever seen! Zzzz! Oh my goodness, it was just a dream!
