Today the 18-year-old graduates from high school! I won’t be attending the ceremony—climbing bleachers is not my thing. But I will pop for a celebratory dinner for the family and a couple of his friends tonight! He enters the same university I attended many moons ago in the fall! We’re all so excited. One down! Three to go! LOL

I have THREE, yes 3, grandnieces graduating high school this year. How did that happen. Seems to me I just made baby blankets for them last year. Guess it was a few more years ago that that. But next week is the parties celebrating their graduation. Oh yes, there is also a step grand nephew too.

Congratulations kiddo! My oldest graduated last year! It was bittersweet, her graduation was 20 years after mine. Keep your head high, live your life, have fun, and make a life for yourself!

My youngest graduated in 2020. Tell him to keep reaching for those stars, you can do anything you set your mind to. Study hard and don’t forget to have some fun, and be responsible. Life can get crazy we need that balance. That is the advice I gave my girls.

Very happy congratulations to him and your family, Delilah! We just celebrated our eldest’s college graduation, and whoa, was that wild, LOL! Our youngest will graduate from high school next year, fingers crossed 😉

As for advice, don’t forget that Mom’s always right 😀 And be kind, to others AND to yourself! Very best wishes to him!

Congratulations to the graduate! Our next high school graduation won’t be until next year, but in a few weeks we will have a grad school graduation! Its a well deserved one for sure! The best advice I can give is to have fun, get to know your teachers and advisors, don’t be afraid to ask for help(take advantage of office hours) and be yourself.

Here’s what I told my kids when they graduated. You aren’t an adult just because you graduated from high school. Trust me, you’ll know when it happens because you’ll wake up and go “ohhhh, I am an adult because _____”. Both of my kids told me that they get it now because they’ve had that moment. Also, I’ve told them you don’t need to have your whole life planned. Be flexible and open to opportunities even if it makes you nervous at times. It is worth it in the end.

I have kids graduating every year, though mine do it in the November (being in Australia). I’m a high school teacher and for me watching the graduating class walk across and get their certificate is the most rewarding thing in the world for me.
