UPDATE: The winner is…Beth!
*~*~*
I love movies. I’m sure a lot of you do, too. My tastes are “low brow.” I could care less about movies that win Oscars because of their “important” stories. I want to be entertained. Plus, I LOVE so-called “B-movies.” The more improbable and campier, the more I love them. I watched and waited in eager anticipation for every new Sharknado film. (My family did viewing parties!) I loved Eight Legged Freaks. Die Hard is my all-time favorite film. I’ve watched it over twenty times, I’m sure.
So, when I say I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for Renfield, you know it’s probably not the best movie ever made, but it hits me in all the feels—ridiculously over-the-top, funny, NICK CAGE, vampires… Do you remember Vampire’s Kiss with Cage when we weren’t entirely sure if he was becoming a vampire or was nuts? I loved, loved that movie. Now, he’s back as Dracula!
Watch the trailer!
And wow, the guy from Warm Bodies, Nicholas Hoult, (another favorite film of mine) is the main character! I can’t wait for its release on April 14th!
For a chance to win a $5 Amazon GC, tell me whether Renfield is something you’re eager to see. Also, share your favorite B-movie picks!

I haven’t been to a movie theater in years. I probably will watch this someday – it looks to have humer rather than being a horror movie.

I think Renfield looks funny but I don’t go to the movies. I loved Sharknado. I watched it every year while the franchise was on.

I wait for movies to come to my library… but I still tend to read over watching them.

I don’t go out to movies…I see them when they show up in a streaming app or tv. I’m not sure I’d be watching this one…. I, too, love to watch Die Hard. I’ll watch Lethal Weapon whenever I find it on. I love to watch Keanu Reeves in The Replacements. I enjoy watching Sweet Home Alabama & Pretty Woman.

Not really, but I can’t remember the last time I actually saw a movie in the theaters. Black Panther, maybe? My all time favorite B-movie was put out by American International: A Comedy of Terrors with Vincent Price, Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff. An absolute laugh fest. If Renfield is in that vein, I’ll mask up and give it a chance.

I all those movies you mentioned(and Sharknado watching was a thing in our house too). There is also all the Tremors movies. And all those monster movies from the 50s and 60s. And some of those ‘teen’ movies in the 80s and most post apocalyptic ones in just about every decade (except I don’t do zombies).
I’m not really a fan of vampires these days so I haven’t seen any movies about them and probably won’t in the future.

I’m excited to see the movie, Renfield with Nicholas Cage as Dracula! Even if it’s a comedy movie I like most Vampire Movies. I don’t have any favorite B movies I can think of at the time. Maybe Twilight if it’s a B movie.

I’ve never heard of this movie, but I might watch it. The last movie I watched was at a Drive-In theater a few months ago. I usually just watch them when they show up on a streaming app.

I will be watching Renfield for sure! Looks like it will be a fun movie.

I haven’t seen any trailers for Renfield at the theater I go to but it looks interesting. A group of us (as many as 10) go to the movies nearly every Sunday and then go out to dinner. We recently saw A Man Called Otto (fantastic) and Plane (lots of action). The group enjoyed both of these a lot. My personal favorite of the ones I’ve seen recently is the new Avatar. I’ve seen it 4 times already. 😁

Renfield looks interesting. We never go to the movie theater anymore.
