UPDATE: The winner is…Wendy H. Vest!
*~*~*
I’m attempting get back to as close to normal this week as possible, starting with Sunday being my planning day. Before I begin, I always shuffle my favorite tarot deck and choose a card to represent the week.
There was no shuffling, of course. I cut the cards again and again, then chose the top card. I revealed the Queen of Pentacles. Pentacles, again. Hmmm. So, I study the card. She’s pretty and voluptuous. Mature. She holds a gold pentacle in one hand and grapes in the other, so I can assume she likes her comfort. Is she supposed to be me? I’m not wealthy, but I live comfortably. Is she offering the grapes to others? I offer my “grapes” to my friends and family. So, what does it mean for me? Perhaps the week is about seeking and sharing comfort with my family. I like that thought.
Now, I’ll check the book. This is the Lydian queen Omphale. She purchased Heracles in a slave market. He was a rough barbarian, and she coaxed him into wearing rich clothes and enjoying the “comforts” she provided. She shared her largesse freely with him. So, my reading falls in line with the book’s. I’ll continue with a limited work schedule while my hand continues to heal and enjoy time spent with the family. I’ll pop for takeout and coax them into some sort of entertainment—a movie night, perhaps? We’ll chill. So, back to my calendar…
So, my question to you is do you have some sort of weekly practice that helps you sort out your week? Do you open your journal or planner and jot down appointments? Do you check the local theater schedule or make reservations at a restaurant? Do you own a tarot deck to help you “meditate” or divine your week? Comment for a chance to win a hand-painted bookmark!

I always start my Sunday with a visual meditation to prep me for the week. Todays was a walk in the woods during a light rain. I love the sound of rain mixed with nature sounds. Then I look at my wall calendar of things to do and put them in my phone calendar adding in a time for yoga or meditation each day. I’m trying to relearn my tarot cards but it isn’t really a good deck for self awareness. When I can afford another one I plan to focus more on one for self awareness.
Today was the upside down hangman.

I do not have a day for planning. Should, but things change so much it is hard to make plans for a long time out. Get up and go to work Monday through Friday and try and relax on the weekends.

My weeks are always chaos. I’m in no way organized, I write appointments on a calendar and repeatedly check it, still forgetting. I write to-do lists that I lose, especially grocery lists. I try so hard, but it’s always the same.

I used to do a journal at the beginning of each week. I am trying to get back into the habit because it works so well.

I have a weekly schedule/calender that I make and check every Sunday morning, then get my kiddos weekly medication box filed and ready, then lay out his clothes for the week, finish any laundry and read for the rest of the day.

I don’t really have a planning day to schedule my week. They’re pretty much the same…Monday, Wednesday & Friday my Grandson stays with me instead of going to preschool. I don’t schedule any kind of appointments on those days. He’s enough to manage without taking him outside the house. My Granddaughter gets off the school bus & comes to my house every day till her parents are home. So anything I need to do is set up for Tuesday or Thursday before I need to go get my grandson from preschool. The only planning I might do is for meals….I try to think about what I might want to make throughout the week so I know if I need any supplies.

I do not do any of those things. I wing it. I do have a tarot deck though

I don’t really plan anything but Sunday is usually movie day. A group of friends have AMC’s A-List (a monthly subscription that allows us to see up to 3 movies per week) so we generally do a movie and dinner. Last Sunday we saw the new Magic Mike movie and boy was it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

No Tarot cards here, but I do have a never-ending to-do list that I keep rewriting when I finally cross off at least half from it. I keep a calendar on my fridge color coded for appointments (dr, cardiologist, dentist, chiropractor, bloodwork, etc), special errands, the rare (picture blizzard in the desert) social engagement…
Oh the joys of getting old. lol

I check my to do list at the end of the week and make sure I am set for the upcoming week.

I don’t do any if those things. I use the calendar on my phone to keep track of my husband’s appointments but thats about all I do. I need to start making a grocery list and maybe decide on what we are having every day. I would make a to do list but I never follow it might help me if I did though I might get more done.

On Sunday I fill out a planner for the following week. I have a daily check off list. Books I want to read and of course things I need to remember like what bills I have, birthdays, appointments, etc. I light a candle and set intentions while doing this. It really helps.
