For all of those in the USA, Happy 4th!
Our family will be playing it low key. #1 — It’s hot as hell, so we’re not driving anywhere to sit and be consumed by mosquitoes while we roast. #2 — We probably won’t do more than sparklers and little poppers because our many animals would freak out, plus the 9-year-old doesn’t like the sound of explosions. #3 — We have a pool, so hopefully, we’ll decide a nighttime swim would be more enjoyable. We are planning finger foods and sandwiches. No grilling. Again — it’s too damn hot. But I hope the rest of you have fun! I’d love to hear what your plans are! I can draw vicarious joy from your celebrations!

I just woke up at noon today (I didn’t get home from work until 5am) and I plan on sitting with my feet up reading.

We’re staying home, grilling just hamburgers. Son in law made sausage & peppers. I’ve made macaroni salad (using shells, didn’t have macaroni) and have fresh canto& watermelon that are delicious. Today is my Granddaughter’s birthday…she wanted ice cream cake, so we’ll be having that too. The two grandkids have already been playing in the splash pool & with their water balloons. And, I want to sit & read awhile. That’s our 4th. Yours sound like it’ll be pretty nice. Enjoy!!

It’s my cousin’s Birthday so we all get together for BBQ and family fun. No fireworks as not allowed in CA. But went to downtown parade this morning.

What I thought I’d do and what I did aren’t too close at all. I was going to make a deconstructed cheesecake no bake pie, baked beans with hotdogs and a macaron salad. When I got up, it was a little foggy but still cool at 7:30, so I took y cane and went out to kill the morning glories that had taken over my herbs, tomatoes and sweet peppers. 3 bags of weeds and a couple of hours later, I played words with my sister on the phone, made a tuna macaroni salad for breakfast and started in on my new classes to build a webpage. It is now almost 8:30 and I just finished some left over split pea soup. Never took the cream cheese out and never made the baked beans… Life goes on. We won’t talk about the picnic next door that I wasn’t invited to (MY other house, MY nephew, and my ex SIL and family who have to walk back and forth through MY yard to get to that other house…
