UPDATE: The winner is…Anna Marie Flamini!
*~*~*
I couldn’t escape work this morning. I had a small file of edits shipped to me last night, and because I wanted my day cleared for family fun, I rose early to get those out of the way first.
The adults in the family are heading to the movie theater today, a matinee featuring Oppenheimer, the start of our “Barbenheimer” experience. And yes, I broke down and bought the T-shirt, although it won’t arrive in the mail in time for me to wear to either movie.
I’ve been gobbling up interviews with the actors and director of O, reading reviews. The movie sounds amazing, and since I’m already in love with Cillian Murphy, I know I’m going to be blown away. I’m just glad my daughter booked the tickets before she realized it’s three hours long!!!! I’ll be buying a very small drink to go along with my very large popcorn. 🙂
This will be the third movie I’ve seen in a theater since COVID erupted. We like the matinees—fewer people. The theater is nearly an hour away, so it’s always a big deal to go. I’m a movie person. I love film. I love really good movies and really bad movies. Good movies have to “move” me or teach me. Bad movies are for pure entertainment. B-movies are my steady diet. Horror, action, sci-fi. If the movie has a shark in it or a lava-loving tarantula, I’m there. Cocaine Bear is the latest B-movie I’ve seen. What a treasure!
Anyway, that’s going to be the highlight of my day. Three hours with my seat tilted back and my feet propped up, with a large buttery popcorn in my lap while I feast on Cillian Murphy’s gorgeous blue eyes. Envy me. LOL
For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, solve the puzzle (you know you want to), then tell me what B-movies you’ve enjoyed recently. I might put them on my “Must See” list!

I haven’t seen any new movies to recommend. When prices started going sky high I had to stay home.

I’ve caught a few oldies on TCM. Curse of the Cat People which was a sequel to RKO’s Cat People. I also enjoyed The Model and the Marriage Broker with Jeanne Craine and Thelma Ritter, but not sure this qualifies as a B movie since George Cukor directed it.

Sadly, can’t say I have seen any of what I call B movies lately. I just watched the Fantastic Beasts series (JK Rowling) but I wouldn’t call them B movies. I loved the series. But I think that is the most recent movies I have watched. (Currently binge watching Medium.)

I haven’t been to the theatre in forever. I found I don’t like movie theatres anymore. I have to get up too often to pee. So I prefer waiting for them to come out on DVD.

Alas, I haven’t been out to the movies in a few years! And generally, my TBR is SO enormous that I just cave and stay in with it rather than going out…

Gee if I did see any recently, they are not coming to mind…

I haven’t been to a movie theater in years. Not sure if it’s a B-movie, but I I’ve got ‘That Thing You Do’ on -it’s got a fun soundtrack.

I don’t have a local theater that doesn’t involve at minimum 2 bus transfers. Last movie I saw in the theater was Johnny Depp’s Dark Shadows. Not the greatest of movies, and for me there were 2 scenes that if left out, would have made the movie much better. But, as a long time DS fan, I appreciated seeing more of the house AND Collinsport than the TV series showed. Also, our cable company removed TCM from the basic lineup and I can’t afford to upgrade or to stream. Also bored with the repeated showing of the same movies on the cable networks available so I don’t watch a lot…

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. It was very good. A great way to end a series

Not sure if it is classified as a B movie, but I saw the latest Indiana Jones movie not long ago. It was fun.

The only movie I’ve seen in ages is Sound Of Freedom but that’s not a B-movie. I just don’t watch many films.

Haven’t been to movie theater in a while. Last time was an afternoon replay of all Mama Mia movies back to back. It was a fun sing-a-long for me and my friends who grew up on ABBA songs.

I have sadly not seen any movies lately.

I have recently watched the movie with George Clooney and Julia Roberts, Ticket to Paradise. It is a feel good, family move with tons of twists and turns. I think you would enjoy it with the girls.

The last movie I saw was Sound of Freedom, not a B-movie, but as a retired teacher it resonated within me.

I haven’t seen any B movies lately but I loved Oppenheimer. Also saw the new Mission Impossible and loved it and the new Indiana Jones. These all packed our local theater but the one that really filled ALL of the seats is the Sound of Freedom – excellent.
