Saturday-Puzzle Contest: Fall is here!
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023

UPDATE: The winner is…Cara!
*~*~*

Fall is here. 🙁  (I miss my pool.)

We don’t have much of one here. We had 93-degree weather just a couple of days ago, but the temperatures are definitely falling. Our nights are in the low 60s now. Leaves are falling, but we don’t get that lovely gradual process of leaves changing colors and drifting to the forest floor. Ours wither from the heat, drop into the pool, and then it’s winter. So, Fall colors are nice in pictures, but we don’t get them here!

I’m sharing a wistful, Fall-themed picture in today’s puzzle. I hope you enjoy it. For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, tell me what Fall is like where you live!

And with the cooler weather we are now experiencing the weather of the tropical storm working its way up the east coast. Stay safe and enjoy tea, coffee and a good book

Today cool and raining on and off. Usually very nice weather 60’s and 70’s during the day and 50’s at night. We have lots of trees, so very colorful.

3:15 – good time for a change. Pretty puzzle. Fall where I am. Since this is the first fall I will have here in Louisville, I can’t entirely answer that with first hand knowledge. I notice the leaves falling from the tree in the front yard, but I haven’t seen any real color changes. But then, I don’t see much more than the front yard. And, it is still early. In Michigan, where I moved from, the color tours will be starting. Starting in the Upper Peninsula and moving south. Color tours can sometimes be found in Michigan as late as Halloween. I expect there is brief color here too. Time will tell.

It has turned a lot cooler lately. The leaves usually change slowly but have changed a lot lately also.

We are still hitting high 90s and even 100 degrees… the nights are so much nicer though… need to wait a few more weeks for better temps.

Having a rainy weekend – getting the western edge of Hurricane Ophelia – leaves are still mostly green, but will probably start changing soon.

My weather is about the same as yours. We missed the rain, my grass is so dry it feels like straw.
Today is the equinox, but our leaves started dropping a few weeks ago. Probably because the poor trees are dying of heat stroke and thirst.

Here’s to hoping we get some rainy weather soon and the daytime temps stop topping out in the high 80’s!

Our Fall is normally mid-70’s during the day dropping to high 50’s at night. Until I did Fall foliage trip in the East, did I recognize how much the trees in the West Coast also changed colors. We also have burnished golds, reds, oranges, and dark greens. Fall is my favorite season. Weather nice, allergies not as strong since normally not much in bloom, and a favorite holiday Halloween.

Northern Michigan, the state changes color in three sections usually. U.P., northern, snd southern Michigan. I’m in the middle. We have a touch of color change.

My friend once said it was like watching a ball. The beautiful colors of the dresses (trees) change for a final ball before winters sleep.

I love the colors, and cooler Temps of Indian summer.

4:11. Here in Wisconsin fall is usually less humid and in the 60s to 70s, with the leaves starting to change in late September to early October.

At the moment it’s more summer than fall with 25°c and sun. Usually fall is more 16/18°c and very windy if it’s not raining, now trees are a god green from the rain we got non stop two weeks ago and teh summer weather we have since yesterday for a week at least

3:48 – not bad. 😊 Fall is not a lot different from the other seasons here in SW Florida but the snowbirds return and traffic on the roads and in restaurants is noticeably heavier. I’m still happy to see my friends return for the winter.
