UPDATE: The winner is…Loretta C. Rogers!
*~*~*
All but two gifts are bought. So, that stress is over. Now, the family and I are settling into the last days of school before the holiday begins. We haven’t started bingeing on Christmas movies. Hopefully, we’ll have time for one today.
In the meantime, the weather is dismal. Not nearly cold enough and rainy. So, the last leaves are still clinging to the trees, the grass is brown with patches of green. The horse and goats love that. The forecasts aren’t hopeful for a white Christmas.
So, the image I chose today is lovely, eerie, and wintery—just so I can get into the mood of the season. I think I need to stock up on hot chocolate and gingersnaps. Something to help fuel the holiday feel.
I love that so many of you seem to be enjoying my Christmas Advent giveaways on Facebook! We’ll keep it up until Christmas Eve!
In the meantime, for a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, solve the puzzle then offer your suggestions for holiday movies to watch. My daughter leans toward Hallmark Christmas movies. She vetoed the Krampus movie—and I don’t dare mention my favorite, Die Hard. So, any other suggestions will be appreciated!

I tend to binge on the Hallmark movies, but I always watch White Christmas and Scrooge’s!

Beautiful, my favorites are White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, The Christmas Card, The Santa Clause, The Grinch, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and many more

My new fave since last year is Violent Night with David Harbour (Hopper from Stranger Things) as a kick-ass Santa. Hilarious and violent and sweary, so for after the little one is in bed.
Then I lean far in the other direction with Love Actually, The Holiday, and The Family Stone for romance and all the feels. lol

I’m a sucker for any version of the Christmas Carol. There was one movie–years back that starred Lee Majors and Dolly Parton that I always enjoyed. Haven’t seen it on TV in a long time. She was a country singer who was headed to a family cabin in the backwoods of Tennessee. He was a burned out lawyer living in the woods. Toss in some run-a-way orphan kids, cruel orphanage owners and a jealous ‘witch’ and you have a delightful movie. Don’t remember the title.

I, too, like the Hallmark movies. But also, Elf, the classics
– It’s a Wonderful life, Miracle 34th Street with Maureen O’Hara and Natalie Wood. Love Actually and The Holiday. Oh yes, Last Holiday with Queen Latifah – the old black and white one with Alec Guinness is good too.

Ack, I don’t usually watch Christmas movies! LOL Die Hard is the only I will stop for when scrolling through channels, and that’s not often since I don’t watch much TV anymore. But love that puzzle. Reminds me of a time travel gate. Yeah, I read more than watch TV! Merry Christmas!
