Tomorrow is International Dalek Remembrance Day! But since I’ll be hosting a guest tomorrow, I thought I might get you in the mood for the celebration. After all, it’s an important one! Yes, I’m waving my nerd flag again. I’m a Dr. Who fan, and the Daleks are iconic Dr. Who villains. If you’ve never watched Dr. Who, do yourself a favor and start with Eccleston’s Who and binge your way forward. You won’t regret it!
But anyway, even if you don’t know who Dr. Who is or know a Dalek from an Adiposian, we can still play a word search game!
I chose to honor the Companions, Dr. Who’s travel buddies, as the theme for the puzzle. Naturally, my favorite was Donna. Poor Donna. I could wax on about how funny and sad her story was, but let’s get to the puzzle.
For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, solve the puzzle, then tell me whether you’ve watched Dr. Who, and if you have, which actor do you prefer in the role? For me, it’s David Tennant. The man has his heart in his puppy dog eyes.

Love Dr Who. I grew up on Tom Baker, but I do like David Tennant. Mark, the general manager of our local transportation bus garage always reminded me of David Tennant. Or does Mark remind me of David…?

I have watched Dr Who and I liked Peter Capaldi playing Dr Who!

Yep! I am a Whovian! “Don’t Blink!” Eccleston is my favorite Doctor with Tennant a very close second. Rose Tylor is my favorite companion. Maybe because she was companion to both of these Doctors. “Don’t Blink!”

I grew up watching Dr. Who in the 1960s and 70s. I met and hugged Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee, my two classic favorites. In the new group, Christopher Eccleston is my favorite. Sarah Jane will always be my favorite companion. I am glad they finally made the Daleks able to levitate, it used to be so silly that you could escape them just by running upstairs.

I was a huge fan for many years. I love Tom Baker when I was a kid. He was so much fun to watch running around and the storylines were so off the wall. I think Eccleston did an amazing job bringing the show back. He was so intense. I think David Tennant and Matt Smiith did a great job showing that it’s a family show that’s a little silly and a lot of fun. Plus they are very watchable.

I first discovered the Doctor when it was Tom Baker in the role, but thanks to PBS I did see lots of episodes of the earlier ones over the years too. For some reason I stopped watching it during the David Tennant years so I haven’t seen the eleventh thru current or ever learned how they made it so that A Time Lord who is supposed to have 12 incarnations in now up to 15 lives.
