UPDATE: The winner is…Misty Dawn!
*~*~*
I couldn’t find a great picture for this holiday! Not many people know about it, so no one’s done any holiday art. Can you imagine that?!
Anyway, the point of the holiday is to lift someone up. Or maybe a lot of someones. Find a way to work a compliment into your interactions today. You might find the reward—the smile you get in return—so lovely and heartwarming for yourself that you’ll begin to make it a habit.
You don’t have to be effusive. Tell the woman waiting in line at the grocery store that you love her hair. Tell the guy at the drive thru window that his smile makes your day. Tell your S.O. that waking up to them is the best part of your day. It can be something big or something little.
Now, for a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, tell me how you might work a compliment into your day!

I will make sure I thank and compliment someone who might be working and doesn’t always get thanked for their job.

As I try to do this everyday, this is easy. Kind of. I don’t leave the house, so my words of kindness generally happen on fb. Sometimes with a “Thank you for sharing.” Delilah, it is awesome that you have shared this with us. Thank you!

I do this everyday with my clients. I compliment them on various things during my shift just to see them smile or laugh.

Saying thank you for your help with a big smile to people I do business with today.

I like to think I do so on a daily basis… definitely with my pets and family.

I actually did work one in. My son has been dealing with a frustrating situation and when the mechanic called instead of getting all rude, he handled it very calmly and presented his issues in a well spoken manner. When he hung up, I told him he did a great job and couldn’t have handled that any better.
Have a great day.

I always try to give compliments when a service person helps me, whether in person or over the phone. Like ‘Love that I can hear your smile in your voice’. Today starts Employee Appreciation Week at our work, so we send each other BEAM cards to say we appreciate them and why.

I actually got a really lovely compliment today at the grocery story and I passed it on by complimenting the cashier. She said it made her day because her day had started out rough.

Just a smile at a stranger can help make their day better. I know if someone smiles at me when I’m not expecting that it gives me a good feeling…& I’ll usually respond with “have a good day”.

I try t make a positive comment to people especially when I’m not too rushed – today it was at the local Soupe Shoppe when I told them I had read good things about them in the local NextDoor group.

I will tell my husband thank you for any domesticated chores he does while I work.

I do this all the time. It might be thanking someone for being kind, or letting someone know that their hair looks great, or that the color they’re wearing is super flattering… it just doesn’t hurt to be nice to people!

I am polite to people I talk to, smile and offer compliments. I am even nice to Alexa when she answers me.
