UPDATE: The winner is…Diane Sallans!
*~*~*
One family member is arriving tonight. My sister will be arriving maybe Sunday night…? Anyway, it looks like the weather might cooperate with Monday’s eclipse—the only total solar eclipse we’ll see here until 2044!!! I’m so excited—or as excited as I can be as I have a deadline approaching that is kicking my ass and I have been writing for 12+ hours a day. And yes, I have to finish the book on eclipse day. Gah! Yes, feel sorry for me. I could use an attagirl!
Anyway, today’s puzzle is fun. With all the weird nonsense online about the upcoming eclipse (what on earth do earthquakes have to do with eclipses?!), I thought the image I chose would be fun. For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, solve the puzzle, and then tell me the wildest story you’ve heard about Monday’s eclipse or eclipses in general! Have fun!

I saw a picture on facebook of what up in New England the day of the eclipse would look like. It was a mess of cars trying to drive to look at the best place to see it but the roads were not only packed but also there was a lot of snow and ice on the roads so that instead of a straight line of cars the cars looked like they were going to be a part of a demolition derby. No crashes but looked like it could happen/

Oh well, call me boring. I haven’t been following the nonsense on line and I don’t have any “wild” stories about eclipses. But, I do like your puzzle. Finished it in 3:23 minutes. Thank you.

I have not heard anything wild about the Eclipse yet. As for your deadline, YOU GOT THIS!

I have not been paying any attention to it except to know it will be occurring and the Yankee game was pushed back to avoid it.

I remember as a child when an eclipse happened and two men watched it without glasses and their eyesight was damaged.

No crazy stories other than lunar eclipses take WAY longer to happen than solar ones. I am waiting to see a replay of it online or in the news. It would be wild to see the brief intermission of nighttime in the middle of the day.

I don’t have any crazy stories off the top of my head, but my two older kids did set up and watch one of the previous eclipses–they found it pretty interesting, although time consuming…

This is the end of times because the path of the eclipse crosses over many cities with the same biblical name. It’s actually the beginning of a great dystopian story but it also makes no sense when you hear all of the theories about what havoc that will cause.

Haven’t heard crazy stories

I saw a few things about ‘the Rapture’ happening in conjunction with the eclipse – I’ve heard of that, but wasn’t sure what was supposed to happen – per Wiki “The Rapture is an eschatological position held by some Christians, particularly those of American evangelicalism, consisting of an end-time event when all dead Christian believers will be resurrected and, joined with Christians who are still alive, together will rise “in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.” – Whoa – that would be interesting!

Considering I’m in Australia no eclipse but there’s always the animals will go crazy stories

We got to watch it but ours only went to 93% but it was still cool and new grandson got to be apart of the fun.

I really haven’t heard any crazy eclipse stories.
