UPDATE: The winner is…Pansy Petal!

It’s Saturday, so it’s puzzle time!
I went to my favorite photo site to find an image and typed in “romantic.” Of course, there were lots of couples sitting on park benches or sharing champagne in a darkened restaurant. Then I saw this photo. It’s the perfect place for a rendezvous. He texts and says, “Meet me on the bridge near your work at noon…” But for what? That’s up to you.
For a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card, solve the puzzle, then tell a little story about who is meeting there and why. Or if you have a favorite “bridge scene” you remember from a book or movie, tell us about it here! Have fun!

When I looked at this picture, even though it has open sides, I ‘see’ my favorite bridge. That is the Gapstow Bridge in Central park.

They haven’t seen each other in several years. They had been high school sweethearts. He left to join the military and she decided to travel to Europe and go to school. Over the years they would run into people that knew them and would be asked if they had seen each other. Their answer was always no. However both ended up returning to the town they grew up in and both had decided to go to the bridge neither one knew they were back home and a chance run in happens on the bridge. Do they stay together that answer will only come if someone writes their story.

I like the scene in Sex and the City where Miranda and Steve meet on the Brooklyn Bridge when they each decide to reconcile

What I thought of was a woman hiking in the woods sees the bridge through the trees. She sees a man on the bridge throw something over the railing and into the water. She realizes it’s a dead body!

What a pretty bridge scene! I do love how a bridge feels like a great metaphor for moments in our lives, with the idea of connections and reflections and possibilities all a part of the landscape.

Every year Mike and Sunny would meet, and every year ask each other the question “Are We Ready Yet?” Each year one or the other were not ready. As they both daydream of their meeting at the bridge; they do not realize that Karma has a surprise waiting for them. Karma is ready for them both to put aside their personal goals to begin on their goals as a couple. 2024 will be the year of love and lust for Mike and Sunny.
