I am just popping in to say Happy Labor Day to all of you U.S. residents! It marks the unofficial end to summer and is a national holiday—so the kids are home for the day! We’re keeping it lowkey. The SIL is cooking burgers on the grill. Perhaps we’ll have a movie night (we’re thinking Fall Guy). We’re sticking close to home and to each other.

Canada has Labour Day. I’m not doing anything overly special. My son and grandson are here to camp have been since Thursday. This will be their last day. Tomorrow they’ll pack up and go home. Wednesday is the start of school.

No plans. I realized last year when I was laid off, holidays were great for having an extra day off with pay. Now being retired, there is no real day off since all are days off.

Our traditional Labor Day picnic. Started with Mass and the games, bingo, barbecue chicken dinner with corn coleslaw drinks and lots of fun and visiting with people. This has been a tradition at our church for over a 125 years. Hope everyone else had a great day.

I went for a walk with my sister while my brother and brother in law stayed with my husband. He had surgery so he needs someone around. I cooked and unpacked totes for my book cabinet

We do have a Labor Day holiday, but it’s basically just a day off work. Though some unions do march through the streets.

I spent the day cooking enough food for the next few days. Then I had a nice, huge meal with my family.

I spent the entire weekend at my brother’s doing a yard sale. Slow sales, but nice visit! My sister-in-law is a great cook! I am home tonight and about to crash! All that fresh air and good food wore me out.
