I have all my gifts, other than gift cards, purchased. One thing I don’t have to worry about is getting the stocking stuffers. That’s Mom’s job now. She’s assembling her bits. They include some of what I’ve listed below in the puzzle. With a bunch of girls, hair ties are always needed. Small, collectible figurines like Pikachu and Hello Kitty get squeals from the 11-year-old. She also likes those plastic insert decorations for her Crocs.
I remember the day when nuts, oranges, and candy canes were the filler.
If you were stuffing a stocking for someone, what might you include? Answer in the comments below for a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card.

Merry Christmas 🎅 I put squishes in the kids stocking stuffers and some fun like card games and the life savor Christmas book that holds life favors in it. It was something I looked forward to getting and try not to put to much candy in them and add more fruit snacks lol

Stockings were always my favorite. My sis and I still do that, although there is no longer a stocking. We use a box. When my sis was able to see, she was a security guard at a local power plant, She had a lot of time, so I got word search books and I looked for small craft projects she could do to pass the time. Now I try to find things for her to stimulate her other senses: flavored lip balm, emery boards, toothpaste, floss picks, hand sanitizers, OTC meds, snacks… Boring stuff.
I do remember my stockings of years past hanging on the cardboard fireplace that was put up every Christmas. It had the orange, pencils, crayons, a card game, a small multi colored sheets note pad, and life savers.

I guess that depends on who stocking is for. When sons small they had candy, money, toothpaste and new toothbrush, hot wheels, games – everything was wrapped and the stocking and overflow was at their seat on Christmas morning- usually they would get socks and underwear-some kind of bubble bath or kids shaving kit or bath time “paints”. If adult female makeup, bubble bath, gift cards, candy bar, sunglasses, bottle wine. Hubby and now grown sons – gift cards, video game, chapstick, then the “fillers” that I have to buy anyway. Special shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, boxer briefs. Then they get candy and mini liquor bottles just 1-2 but they like to occasionally try something new.

Oh wow! It has been awhile. My kids still got a kick out of Silly Putty. Can we even find that today? A deck of cards was always good too. The hygiene items was good too. Not the favorite, but always needed. I tend to be a tradionalist, so the orange and nuts still go in the stocking too.

Apples, small toys like the Hot Wheels we got her, those small Tootsie Roll containers that are banks once you eat the candy (she prefers the fruit flavors), a least one small fidget gadget(she’s on the spectrum). We always try to find a small stuffie that can go at the top, sticking out slightly, to “guard” the stocking.

I always try to get the same things for the girls and then different same things for the guys. Can’t play favorites on any of them. But then again (3 kids, 49, 46, and 27) (Grandkids, 26,25,22,6,4,and 1) Talk about a spread!

I liked to use consumables – candy, snacks, a bottle of wine for the adults – the problem we’ve always had is our stockings (hand made by my Mom) aren’t big enough to hold everything we accumulate so they get piled in corners of sofas and chairs
