Remember, you have to post to win! The first winner will be announced Thursday! See more details below.
It’s not the #1 reason, or even #2 or #3 (those reasons are coming!), but it’s still a very compelling one. DOWN IN TEXAS is a damn good book. But don’t take my word for it.
5 Angels and Recommended Read from Fallen Angels Reviews, reviewer Darksnite: “…This anthology was one of the most decadent reads of the year for me. The sexuality was so intense, descriptive, and real it left you wondering how you did not hear and see the thunder and lightning…The women were feisty and knew what they wanted and had no problem making it known. The men were dominating without being smothering; they understand the workings of their women’s hearts and give them all that they need…The whole novel was great and left me in deep envy of all those women down there with those sexy Texas men! This was a very wonderful sexy and mature read. I loved this novel there was nothing left out of it—it has passion, love, romance, danger, and plenty of sexual congress. Delilah never fails to deliver on any front, and this is just another testament to an extraordinary writer. As always, I look forward to more of her extraordinary novels. Congratulations to Ms. Devlin on a tale well done!”

In only fifteen days, DOWN IN TEXAS, will hit the shelves. So, it’s my mission to make sure that you are all so pumped about the book that you a) beg your local bookstore to make sure they have a copy ordered for you, or b) pre-order the book so that it’s shipped as soon as it’s available.
And be warned, I’m going to make it irresistible for you to ignore my siren’s call. I love this book. I believe 100% you’re going to love it, too. But don’t take my word for it now. Let me seduce you for the next fifteen days.
Hmmm…where should I start?
So, is that cover hot enough to convince you? Okay, covers don’t really tell you how good a book is. They are more a measure of how well the art and marketing department targeted the market (you) for this sort of book.
But the cover is absolutely perfect. The three stories in this volume are all about cowboys—not just men who wear hats, but the ride ’em hard kind—horses and women, ya know. The pretty horse is a very obvious sexual innuendo. The leather strap he’s holding in his hand gives you a hint that there’s probably some kink in the story. Well, I wrote it after all, so that should be a given. I would have liked some hair on the chest, because every one of my cowboys is old enough and wouldn’t be caught dead waxing. But you can see all those lovely hills and valleys…
Maybe the cover’s not a good enough reason to buy, but it is good enough to make you pick it up off the shelf and take a look inside the pages or at least read the back cover copy. Stick around for the next fourteen days and I’ll give you plenty of peeks so that you know good and well what kind of ride you’ll get.
In the meantime, I’ll sweeten the pot to make sure you come back each day to read this blog. There will be several great prizes—books, beaded bookmarks made by Delilah’s Spawn (otherwise known as the “red-headed hellion”), custom beaded necklaces, and a gift card or two. But you have to visit, and you have to post here or wherever I tell you to go be eligible to win!
Hasta la vista!

MY PREROGATIVE
Berkley Heat
ISBN-10: 042522340X
ISBN-13: 978-0425223406
Genre: Contemporary
Release Date: September 2, 2008
“MY PREROGATIVE is the perfect title to explore this intense tale of a naughty woman seeking love, but refusing to settle for the wrong man in her life… Ms. White grasped the concept of a woman’s needs and weaved a wonderful tale of realization. MY PREROGATIVE is an insightful and thought provoking page turner that I know you’ll enjoy.” —NightOwl Romance
4 STARS! “With her newest erotic romance, White proves again that she’s a force to be reckoned with. It continues White’s tales of love and lust in Vancouver. In Kelsey, the author has created a mature, fully developed character who is unapologetic about her sexuality and desires but is vulnerable in her desire to find a soul mate. While this book is a stand-alone, it is loosely related to White’s previous titles Bound, Trouble and Wicked.” — RT BOOKreviews
She does what she likes…and what she likes is absolutely wicked.
Kelsey Howard is happy with the single life. She has great friends, a fun job tending bar, and a nice apartment. Not to mention the freedom to enjoy a few wild sex games with strangers—the riskier the better. But what she’s really looking for in the darkness is love.
Then Kelsey realizes she’s got an annonymous stranger watching her every move—and every move she makes is arousing them both. In fact, not only is she not scared, she thinks she may have finally found her soul mate. Especially when she meets the mischievous mystery man in the flesh. That’s when the fun and games really start, and Kelsey realizes just how far she’s prepared to go for love.

TROUBLE WITH HARRY
In 1924, Harry, an adventurous archeologist, uncovers his greatest discovery–the tomb of the daughter of Shah Azhi “the devil king”, containing the magical stone of Azhi. Legend tells of the stone’s great power to grant wishes. When Harry lays his hands on the prize, he’s sucked into a bottle to sleep for over eighty years.
In the twenty-first century, lonely museum worker, Edie Ragsdale, has been tasked with cataloguing the contents of a sarcophagus. Among the mummified remains of a long-dead princess, Edie finds a bottle. When she brushes away the dust of thousands of years, a naked Harry appears out of thin air. Because she was the one to wake Harry from his long sleep, Edie is able to wish for anything her heart desires and Harry has to grant it. But when her wishes land her on the set of a porn film and the deck of a pirate ship with 100 sex-starved pirates ready to teach her a few lessons on sex, Edie has to rely on handsome Harry to bail her out. Come along for a sexy, rollicking romp and learn why you should be careful what you wish for!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“Step aside. Move yer bloody arses!” A dirty man with blackened teeth, a scraggly beard and breath that could make a camel wretch, pushed a line of equally repulsive men out of the way. Then he leaned into Edie’s face and breathed a putrid stench against her lips. “As the first mate, I have the right to go first.”
The fog and darkness immediately left Edie’s mind. Just like in her dream, she was stripped of her clothing and tied to the main mast of an ancient pirate ship. Around her a hundred bloodthirsty pirates leered, their tongues hanging out of their mouths as if drooling over that twenty-ounce steak Edie thought she’d have to tie around her neck to attract a man. So, she’d been wrong. She could attract a man, or men, just by standing in front of them naked.

Thought you’d enjoy a snippet of something else that’s coming sometime in the near future from Ellora’s Cave. This is unedited, so be kind about the typos!
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Jane Emerson parted the blinds to sneak a peek into the yard next door. The lawn mower had finally fallen silent, which meant Bruno Martir had finished with that chore. Soon, he’d be moving along the fence as he turned to the next job.
She’d gotten accustomed to his afternoon habits. Knew he preferred yard work while Cord washed cars in the drive. Cord hadn’t finished working on his SUV, so there was still plenty of time to put her plan into action.
Her gaze slid covetously over Bruno’s lean body. His T-shirt had long ago been stripped away. Grass shavings clung to his broad shoulders and ripped abdomen. Sweat darkened the brown hairs that lightly furred his chest and thick thighs.
She licked her lips, already tasting the salt of his sweat and cum. This was it. One last shot at putting the topping on her vacation. Through with playing coy and dropping increasingly un-subtle hints, she was going for broke. If he didn’t take the bait this time, she’d have to assume she didn’t have the equipment to attract a stud like the fireman next door. Maybe his roommate Cord was more than just his best buddy, which would be a crying damn shame—at least for Jane’s plans.
Grabbing up her boom box and sunscreen, she tightened the belt on her robe and headed down the stairs, not even trying to stem the flow of excitement dampening her short curls. She’d promised herself an elicit adventure. Something to wear like a badge of courage when she finally returned home. She might have been dumped for a fitness instructor, but she was still attractive, still sexy. To prove it to herself today, she’d be shameless.

Yesterday, I promised an excerpt from my upcoming Ellora’s Cave release. If you need another fix of the hottie on the cover, he’s right below! ~DD
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“Either he’s the dumbest terrorist I’ve ever seen, or he wants to get caught.”
Casey McTaggert blinked at the burly Military Intelligence officer beside her and pushed her glasses back up her nose. She wasn’t accustomed to sitting thigh-to-thigh with a man—and definitely not one of such awesome proportions. She wasn’t sure whether she liked it or not, but the skittering nervousness that gripped her each time she addressed him was…interesting.
“Khalid’s not a terrorist, and he isn’t stupid,” she shouted over the roar of the turbine engine and the whomp-whomp of the helicopter’s blades.
Captain Sorensen snorted and turned his attention back to his small handheld satellite link-up. “I’ll take your word on the first,” he said, in his thick Texas accent, “but the bastard’s headin’ straight toward the southern wall. You’d think he’d zag at least once.”
Scooting as close as her harness allowed, Casey peered down at the small screen showing the infrared feed. Khalid Razeh’s pale-colored SUV traveled in the dark down a rugged, gravel road at a fast clip.
“Does he think he can outrun the border patrol’s Incident Response Team?”
She shrugged, unwilling to share at the moment what she thought about the Afghani national’s most recent activities.
The square-jawed soldier didn’t appear to want her opinion anyway and continued to scowl at the screen. “It’s like he’s telegraphin’ his destination—hasn’t veered off his course once. If he knows we’ve spotted him, I have to wonder whether he’s just tryin’ to draw us out.” He pounded his fist against his thigh. “Shit!”
Sorensen unsnapped his tactical radio mike from the shoulder strap of his web gear. “Oscar-three-one, this is tango-four-niner, over.”
“This is oscar-three-one.”
“Scramble the anti-artillery. We may be headin’ into an ambush.”
Casey tugged at his sleeve. “Captain, I really don’t think that’s something we have to worry about. I believe he intends to turn himself over to us.”
“He’s a wily fucker—pardon my French, ma’am. I’m not takin’ any chances with my team. And get that damn helmet back on!”
