I had tons of entries for this one, mostly from Facebook. Woohoo! It appears you all love fairies, which is a good thing, since next week’s prize features another lovely fairy gift!
I do have a winner for the journal, but she’ll be named at the bottom of this post. In the meantime, I have TWO contests to announce.
One’s more of a reminder. We’ll start there.
Contest #1—or, the Promo Whore Contest

Myla and I would appreciate your help getting the word out about our two recent self-published books, Sex Ed and Moonstruck.
What we’d love you to do for us is:
1) Tag, Star, and “Like” wherever you buy the books!
2) Review it! Please, please, please!
3) Post the cover/blurb on your blog (Ask! One of us will send you a jpeg!)
4) Most importantly, BUY them!
For our contest, we’re offering two $25 gift certificates to two lucky winners for the MOONSTRUCK blurbs and links, and a $25 gift certificate to one lucky winner for pimping SEX ED. So that’s THREE winners—and a total of $75 up for grabs!
Te be entered, you have to send us a link to where you talked about the book, posted a review, posted the cover and the blurb—BY APRIL 30th!! And you can enter multiple times, so if you’re smart, send a link for each individual posting to this address: Myla Jackson [mylajackson@earthlink.net]
Winners will be announced in Myla’s and Delilah’s May Newsletters!
Contest #2—Queen of the Kitchen Contest
I don’t cook, but I saw these and had to buy them. It’s a compulsion, I know. A mental disorder, I’m sure. But hey, you get the benefit of my illness! 🙂
I took lousy pictures, but these two pictures are of a set of measuring spoons. The handles are topped by a crown that says “Queen of the kitchen” and they have decorations all the way down. You can certainly put them to use, but you also might like to hang them from a hook in your kitchen for decoration. To win them, all you have to do is post a comment. As many as you like over the next week, on my blog and on facebook. Every entry increases your chance of winning!

Okay, back to the winner of the very pretty fairy journal… She’s Betty Lewis! Betty, email me with your snail mail address. Congratulations!

I love to shop. Not for clothes or shoes or groceries. My thrills come from acquiring jewelry (junky and fine), office supplies (I know there’s a fetish in there somewhere), and anything of a medieval or paranormal bent. Which is precisely why I own two large jewelry boxes, why one wall of my office is crammed floor-to-ceiling with every imaginable office machine, stacks of notebooks and Post-its, and why the rest of my office has figurines and pictures of dragons, fairies, and knights cluttering up every surface.
My obsession has led to my friendship with a woman who owns a tiny specialty shop in town. She keeps an eye out for things she knows I’ll dig. This week, I came home with a grocery bag full of things I bought just to share with you. I had to have them all, but I have no where to store them. So I figure that if I offer one contest a week for some really random prizes that you might poke your head in the door pretty often to see what’s up, and I’ll have found a use for SOMETHING I’ve bought!
Here’s this week’s prize:

The journal is covered in a short velveteen; the pages are a nice thick stock; and the image is one of two female fairies, one light and one dark, the tips of their wings interwoven. Very pretty. And very, very hard for me give up because I want it!
What do you have to do to win? Just post comments wherever I am blogging—this includes my daily blogposts that show up on Facebook. The more times you post, the better your chances to walk away with this lovely journal.
So, post a comment here and you’re entered. Come visit me at Everything Erotic where I’ve posted a short story and you have a second chance! This contest will end next Tuesday when I’ll reach into my bag for the next random prize. Good luck!

I woke up late! Probably needed the extra sleep because I came back from conference with an ugly cough. However, it means I’ll have to wait to post those pictures from the conference until Thursday (I have a guest blogger tomorrow). 😥
Thanks to everyone who sent me links to reviews/comments about Moonstruck! We still need more buzz, so we’re going to give everyone time to read the story before you review or post the cover and blurb on your blog site. The end date of the contest will be extended until April 30th. You have plenty of time to enter!
If you like this sort of collaboration, please let us know. Sis and I tend to goad each other along to get things done. It could mean more of the stories you like sooner.
In the meantime, let’s talk…
Babe Ruth, James Dean, Elvis Presley…
If you could bring back any deceased superstar for one final performance
in their respective field, whom would you choose?

I’m baaaack! The conference was worthwhile for the connections I made and the friendships I renewed, but I am soooo glad to be away from California pollen! I have pictures, but have to unpack to get to my camera. I’ll do that today, so stop by tomorrow for a peek!
Just a reminder—today’s the last day you can buy Moonstruck for $.99! It’s also the last day to enter the contest Myla and I are sponsoring. We’re offering two $25.00 gift certificates to two lucky winners. What you have to do is send us a link to where you talked about the book, posted a review, or posted the cover and the blurb. And you can enter multiple times, so if you are smart, send me a link for each individual posting to this address: Email Delilah!
Those of you who are hooked on the My Immortal Knight stories, won’t want to miss my quickie novella in Moonstruck! Here’s what one reader said about She’s All That: “Moses is a hot cop on the paranormal beat. His coworkers think it’s a super great joke. Melanie is a woman who went to a bar looking for a one night stand and ends up learning about vampires and other paranormal beings. Things go crazy from there. Now I don’t want to give away the um…big…um moment(?) but I will say that there is a sex scene. When I finished it, I backed up and read it again!… This story read with a wink and a nudge and the humor just screams out of the pages.”
Yeah, there is this one big scene I’m dying for you to read… Don’t wait. Get your copy today!

I’m on my way to LA for the RT convention. I won’t be back until Sunday. In the meantime, I have some fun guests lined up to keep you entertained. Don’t be shy about commenting! ~DD
I’ve blogged about Cowboys before and had so much fun with the Cowboy conversation starters, I thought I’d do it again on Delilah’s Blog.
First, what’s not to love about cowboys? Having lived in Texas, on a small 100-acre ranch outside of San Antonio, I know a little about cows—they’re dumber than dirt. I know a little about horses—just waving at them doesn’t stop them from running over you. I know a little about building fences—100 acres takes 9 months of weekends to completely fence, almost as painful as having a baby. We had the fortune of raising some exotic animals for a while in the form of ratites—I know, what’s a ratite? Think Ostrich, Emu and Rheas, those really big, flightless birds that are almost as dumb as cows. I learned a lot from the big birds. Ostriches can kick the crap out of you, Emus have a six-feet vertical jump and it hurts when they land on your head, and a Rhea male sits the eggs and doesn’t like it when you rob his nest.
I no longer live on that ranch—it was killing me to re-fence after every rain storm. After 14 years working it, we decided to try our hands as business owners in Arkansas. I miss the Texas hill country and the cowboys that came along with it. I always wanted my daughters to marry cowboys, but so far that hasn’t happened. And since I was already married when we moved to the Texas hill country, I didn’t get the opportunity to marry a cowboy myself, not that I mind having married the computer geek husband I have. He’s tough when it comes to trying his hand at ranching and he doesn’t give up.
However, IF I was single, here a few conversation starters I came up with for an encounter with a cowboy. Maybe one of you can use them since I’m already taken. Tell me what you think and if you have a few of your own, I’d love to hear them. Leave a conversation starter for a chance to win a download of FIT TO BE TIED or HONOR BOUND.
10. Bull riding or team roping?
9. Felt or straw cowboy hat?
8. Ever tipped a cow?
7. Skinny-dip or suit?
6. Saddle or bareback?
5. Where did you get your first kiss?
4. Candles or stars?
3. Ride much?
2. Do you sleep in the nude or with your boots on?
1. Do you own a pair of chaps?
I love to write about contemporary cowboys and cowboys of the old west. Check out SEX ED on Amazon. He’s a cowboy caught between a promise and a request he can’t ignore.

Yesterday was fun! I went with the red-headed hellion and her family to nearby Hot Springs. We shopped like mad at our favorite haunts (Tillman’s and Romancing the Stone), then made our way to the Wax Museum. It isn’t “Madame Tussaud’s”, but rather “Josephine Tussaud’s”, which is a hint that all is not quite right with the attraction. Judge for yourself.
The two year-old wasn’t scared of the werewolf crashing through the wall.

My favorite!

Needed more blood and guts, I think.

Jack Sparrow didn’t look grimy enough.

This one creeped me out. I kept expecting them all to turn toward me with their vacant stares…

Here’s my baby and me.

You’d think a wax museum would do casts of shrunken heads. But I did find a Hillbilly calendar to give away to one “lucky” reader. It’s full of helpful holidays and appointments, like “Pay Pa’s Bale”, Ma shoe the mule”, and “Shoot snakes at swimmin hole”. I’ll be sure to toss in some Delilah goodies too! Comment to win this great prize! 🙂

If you post a comment today, you’ll be in the running
for a free download of Jacq’s Warlord!

Nice, eh? THE WARRIOR will be out May 1st! And it’s a time travel back to an ancient time when women were in charge. And since we’re on the topic of time-travels, here’s the only other one I ever wrote (along with my sis, Myla)…
“…Set in the time and in the battles fought as Henry takes the English throne, the combination of battle action and sexy romance makes this story a standout.” 5 Stars, Just Erotic Romance Reviews
“…if you are looking for a book full of action, adventure and lots of humor I recommend that you suspend your disbelief and find yourself drawn into the vibrantly portrayed world of JACQ’S WARLORD…” 4 Crystals, Erotic Escapades
With proportions that would make Xena weep, Jacqueline Frazier despairs of ever finding a lover she can’t intimidate. Until the day she ignores an itty-bitty warning regarding the use of a family heirloom, and finds herself swept off her feet by a knight in not so shining armor, back to the twelfth century. Forced to accept the protection and sexual attentions of the overbearing, beast of a man, Rufus of Rathburn, Jacq struggles to find her place in the past while searching for a way back to the future. In the meantime, she aids Rufus’s war cause with a little 21st century ingenuity. Nothing like shaking up the warlord with lessons in bomb-making, guerilla tactics, and the Joys of Sex.
At first unwilling, and downright ungrateful, Rufus begins to see merit in Jacq’s odd ways. Through Jacq’s eccentricities and willfulness, Rufus learns she is a woman to be reckoned with, not to mention she is a lusty handful in bed. Will his admiration of her cunning, strength and uninhibited sexuality grow into a love that breaks the barriers of time? And will their love be strong enough for Jacq to plot a different future in the past?
“Damnation!”
Rufus landed on his rear at the entrance of his tent. He saw the silvery glint of stars for a moment before he realized the flashing metal was the water ewer bouncing away. Instinct saved him a second knot on his forehead as his arm came up to deflect the next object lobbed at his head. He rolled to his knees and lunged upwards to face his angry adversary.
