You didn’t know it was World UFO Day? Amazon Prime knows that. The Tomorrow Warstreams tonight, and I’m going to try to talk the family into watching! Who doesn’t like an epic fight, Man vs. Aliens? Okay, the thought of aliens arriving is great for movies and books, but the thought of real aliens arriving is kind of unnerving. They’d want something from us, right? Would we be food or friends?
“If Aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans.”
~Stephen Hawking
I love the idea of UFOs. I believe there is intelligent life out there in the cosmos. Whether they’ve visited us or not, well that’s for smarter people than me to figure out.

Hi everyone, my name is Kennedi Darling and I write contemporary MC Romance. I live in sunny Arizona with my wonderful husband of almost 14 years, our two boys, aged eight and four years, a super laid-back dog named Roxie, an ornery turtle named Gloria, and two fish that have lived forever, yet remain unnamed. I spend my days as a full-time stay-at-home mom to my boys, as well as a full-time caregiver to my ten-month-old niece. My nights are a different story. I use the little free time I have to research, plot, and write.
My journey as an author started a little less than a year ago, though I have always enjoyed writing. I woke up from a dream, and in that dream, I’d written a book. At the time I didn’t have any idea what the book was about, nor could I remember any other details of the dream. For the next few days, every time I slept, I’d awaken with another piece of the puzzle, until one day a week later, I had the whole picture.
I’d dreamed of a series and the characters within it. From that very moment on, it was as if an entire world developed before my eyes. My characters started coming forward, slipping details to me like a love note written in class. Their names and what they did, all formed this brilliant image in my mind’s eye until I couldn’t think of anything else.
I started carrying a notebook with me wherever I went because I never knew when one of these characters would breathe life into their existence and leave me scrambling to jot down what they told me.
Honestly, when I sat down to begin writing, my husband thought I was nuts. “You’re going to do what now?” he said to me. “A book, like for other people to read?” I understood his confusion. Never in our sixteen years together had I ever mentioned wanting to write a book and now, all of a sudden, I was embarking on this journey I dove into headfirst. Well, I set out to write something that I thought people would love and relate to and be able to feel with every fiber of their being, and I hope I’ve done just that.
I’d always had a love for books. There’s just something peaceful and utterly amazing about the ability to bring something to life with one’s mind. I am absolutely thrilled to share my first book with everyone, and I hope you’ll take a chance on me.
If you’ve ever read the MC romance genre before, you’ve probably heard of the SAA (sergeant at arms) position and what it entails. For those that haven’t, the SAA’s job is to maintain the security of the club. That includes the members, their families, and all their property. My debut novel features a decorated former Army Ranger who now holds the SAA seat at the officer’s table for the Tattered Souls MC.
Follow Dagger’s journey along an emotional rollercoaster, battling a loss he wasn’t prepared for, treading water in a sea of misconception, and finally getting his hard-earned HEA. This book of trials, heartache, and undying love will leave you with a book hangover of epic proportions, but don’t worry. More is to come from the TSMC.

Sienna:
I promised him forever, only one mistake became never.
My body was no longer my lover’s temple, but a madman’s canvas.
Instead of quivering with pleasure, I shuddered in pain.
Now I’m back, a shell of a woman with a shattered mind and a tattered soul.
There’s no way Dagger would see me for the woman I was.
And the loneliness is going to kill me.
Dagger:
I promised her forever, only one call became never.
Dreams of the future were no longer peaceful, but shattered by nightmares.
The woman who held the key to my soul was gone, though I never moved on.
Now she’s back, though tattered and broken.
She’ll never believe she still owns my heart.
But I’m determined to avenge her.

The 16-year-old girl drove me into town today. Before we left the driveway, she plugged in her phone, pulled up Pandora, and started the song list at the top of her menu.
The first song played was “Under the Boardwalk” by The Drifters, the next was “Rockin’ Robin” by Bobby Day, followed by Etta James’ “At Last.” She sighed when she heard that song, saying, “That one’s my favorite.” BTW, she sang every word of every random song played. I couldn’t have been more proud.
Her mom had the same taste growing up, and this didn’t happen because we play Classic Rock and Motown songs 24/7 in our house. We listen and know well all the current hits, but the teenager is the one who brings up the frequent gripe our family shares that they just don’t make memorable music anymore. When the opening strains of “Stand by Me” play, you instantly know the song, and no matter how long it’s been since you heard it last, you remember the words.
This morning when the guitar riff at the start of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode” played, we both squealed and began dancing in our seats. I guess we’re doing something right. 🙂

I know we’ve all had that one crush in high school. That guy/girl that looked right through you, while you scribbled their name in your notebook. Fantasized about them day and night. And watch from afar as they date other people, wishing it were you. It’s a major blow to your self-esteem and you even find yourself wondering what’s wrong with you? Why doesn’t he/she see me? Well, in my current release, Zoe has just about had it with Rafe Montgomery. Waiting for him to notice her. Waiting for him to make the first move. This is the twenty-first century, right? Women don’t sit around hoping a guy will toss them a crumb. Not anymore. We go after what we want. The question is, will Rafe take what Zoe’s offering or will she be left to nurse a broken heart?
Rafe: A Men of Silverlake Novella
This year is sure to be her hottest Christmas yet…
Rafe Montgomery has one goal. Get the hell out of Silverlake before the annual Christmas bash. Everyone in town shows up to celebrate the festive holiday, including Zoe VanBurn. Rafe has fantasized about the cute brunette one too many times. But there’s a very clear hands-off vibe—thanks to Zoe’s big brother Ace. Still, the innocent smiles and teasing remarks she tosses his way are getting harder to ignore. Escaping to sunny Florida is Rafe’s only hope. So when Zoe shows up on the beach wearing a sexy red bikini, Rafe goes down like a sinking ship. Having Zoe in the tropical paradise away from big brother’s watchful eye? Yeah, that’s sure to spell trouble.
A twenty-four-year-old virgin and in love with a man who looks right through her. That’s Zoe VanBurn’s reality. In high school, she sat back and watched as Rafe flirted with other girls. Still, Zoe has kept hope alive because deep down she knows that Rafe belongs to her. They aren’t in high school anymore and Zoe isn’t the same shy girl she used to be. He might be running scared, but Zoe knows exactly what she wants for Christmas…and she’ll use every trick in the book to get him!

My family did the cake (cheesecake, yum!) and gift thing yesterday (the 12-year-old has a minor surgery today). They also took me out to dinner. They gave me wonderful things that proved they know me all too well—a project rack for my art room, a Groundhog Day Pop! figurine, an astronaut in a snowglobe, taco-shaped Post-Its, a To-Do list tablet, a hedgehog-shaped jeweled box, etc. All perfectly random and kitschy gifts—things to make me smile.

Our newly planted roses are budless at the moment, likely due to the stress of the sudden arrival of the hot-as-hell summer we’re experiencing at the moment in Arkansas! I love blooming plants. My favorite is the sunflower. The blooms remind me of the tall fields of sunflowers I used to bicycle past when I was on my way to the Army post where I worked in Germany. I got to see them throughout their life cycle. I also love roses (especially great big cabbage roses), peonies, and hibiscus. This puzzle has me ready to search for this flower to see whether I can order one. It’s lovely!

In June 15th’s blog, Our Silly Collections… (Contest), I shared a picture of one of my little collections (I am a collector of many odd things). I asked readers to send me photos of their collections to share and offered a prize to one person who shared. Enjoy the photos from these brave souls! And comment below to win a FREE download!
From Jen B.: Dice. These are only the fancy ones in my living room. I have others. I love dice because you play games with them and they are great for four math games.
From DD: I love these, Jen! I love how worn and misshapen some of them are. Many, many hands have touched them! Only never gift me with a piece because it would likely get a hole drilled into the piece so it could hang on a necklace or bracelet!
From Katherine Anderson: For me, it’s my crystal collection, each piece was given to me by someone, or belonged to one of my relatives who has passed and then left to me. Each one has a story and means something so that’s why this collection is my most special.
From DD: Katherine, the best collections begin as gifts and bequests! Love passed along. I love your crystals!
From Daun Ann Korty: I have two main collections, lighthouses and Wonder Woman.
I love lighthouses because when it’s dark in your mind, their light brings you back to the light and I used to hang out at one in my hometown of San Diego, CA. I’ve also attached a diamond painting I just finished of the lighthouse in San Diego. It’s the old Point Loma or Cabrillo lighthouse.
From DD: It’s a lovely collection! Are you going to frame your painting?
I love Wonder Woman, because as a kid, she was my hero and I’ve never fallen out of love with her. Also attached is me in my WW costume my mom made me.
From DD: Wow! Your mom was talented! Love the red boots too. I have a Wonder Woman or two sitting here in my office, but your collection is awe-inspiring!
