It’s Saturday. I’m posting a little late for no good reason. I’ve been piddling. I have edits to work on and rooms to clean. I have to get started, but I’ll piddle some more, no doubt.

I used to be a traveler. In fact, it was my top thing to do. It’s why I joined the military in the first place. The captain who lured me into ROTC in college promised me I’d see Europe, and sure enough, I spent my first assignment there and was lucky enough to spend my last one on active duty there as well. While I was in Germany, I took advantage of the rails and boats and picked off many, many countries on my bucket list. I love road trips here in America, too—but COVID and kids have kept me homebound for a while.

When life gets a little less complicated, I’m going to take some trips. The pictures in the puzzle are some of the places I’d love to go.

Ugh! So, today is the first time in a week that I’ve felt kind of normal. No huge headache, no low-grade fever, no desire to simply stay in bed. Yay!

I’m thinking that between the horrible heat I dealt with last weekend, my newly diagnosed high blood pressure, and the COVID bivalent booster and flu shots I got during my doctor’s visit, my body simply said, Enough!

I’m running around, grabbing more art off the walls to throw up in my tent at the Arkadelphia Festival of the Arts. Everything went well yesterday despite the heat (a high of 88 degrees!), and today’s supposed to hit a scorching 97 degrees! Gah. I drank so much water yesterday and was limp in my seat for the afternoon, but I sold some art! Whee!

So, quickly, here’s the Saturday contest! I’ll be back at my desk tomorrow, catching up contest winners, trying to get a handle on my workload for the following week. I’m just a little bit stressed about how I’m going to catch up!
